I like it, but Keisha's version is easily better.

The RedOne intro is, admittadley, fairly similar and no better or worse, but the chorus imo is quite weak now compared to Keisha's... still good though.

I agree that their vocals don't mesh well together. I don't like the line "you don't know about a girl" sounds weird. I really like Jade but I prefer Keisha's version atm.
Much prefer Keisha's version. She has a more distinct voice, and she really made a mark on the song. Plus it seems like its slowed down a bit to adapt to Jade's vocals. Meh.

No they haven't. They're both the same length and tempo.

Yeah, Keisha didn't have the strongest of voices but it was certainly distinct. I can't think of another singer who sounds similar to her so she was always gonna be hard to replace. Especially on this song, her part on the chorus was as dominant as Amelle's on "Get Sexy", so it was always going to be quite noticeable.

Jade can sing, but she's got quite a generic tone and sound to her voice. Before the three girls sounded different, yet as one, now Jade sounds too much like the others. I guess that should be a good thing, but it makes them more comparable to (imo) blander girl groups like the Saturdays and Girls Aloud where they're a decent group of girls, but their sound doesn't stick out.

Am I the only one who thinks Jades version is better
Nope

SO. MUCH. WORSE.

Too bad that Keisha originally sang all the parts I liked the most as well. Eugh. :(

I don't understand how it can be "so much worse" when it's virtually the same song. Jade stuck to the vocals Keisha did down to a tee. She didn't change anything up or oversing it and her voice isn't hugely different to Keisha's.

But imo, Keisha MADE 'About a Girl'.

My favourite parts were the 'We like the lights, stars and stripes' parts. It's just not the same when it's NOT being sung by Keisha.

If you can't hear a difference in voice/tempo/general quality I suggest an ear test.

Obviously I can hear a difference in voice but they're not massively different. (Jade doesn't sing like Diana Vickers, for example.)

And there is no difference in the tempo at all. If it had been made slower than the length would be longer and it's not.

the vocals are not mixed very well - hers seem very loud in comparison to the other two's :s

I've been listening to both version on repeat one after another and there is some bits I prefer on Keisha's version (Amelle's let's have a party y'all is the main one) and Jade's version (the chorus is now more powerful and i love it). So if i were to chose i would go with Jade's.

Also as i have my ipod on shuffle when it shuffles them weirdly Jade's version comes on more often but i'm not complaining..

Despite liking Keisha, I am by far preferring Jade's version. I like her much more than I do Keisha anyway, and this song is now brilliant for me. The other one (with Keisha) I thought was alright, but I really like this one! And Jade's legs!
sounds similar to me, not much better or worse tbh
Think I prefer it slightly, other song will probably sound better when they record together and its not so rushed.
