Posted June 27, 200619 yr Early retail reports suggest that Nelly Furtado could hold at the top of the singles chart this weekend with Maneater (Geffen), despite stiff competition from Shakira and Pussycat Dolls. Sales flashes show that Shakira's Hips Don't Lie (Epic) and Pussycat Dolls' Buttons (A&M) are close contenders for the top spot as a consequence of there being little activity from new entries this week. Ne-Yo's Sexy Love (Def Jam) and Kooks' She Moves In Her Own Way (Virgin) should enter the Top 10 on Sunday, after making steady ascensions up the rundown. Meanwhile Michael Jackson's Blood On The Dance Floor (Epic), The Long Blondes' Weekend Without Makeup (Rough Trade) and Cord's Winter (Island) may be fortunate enough to score Top 20 debuts. Lostprophets are on course to strike the first number one album slot of their career with Liberation Transmission (Visible Noise), knocking Keane's Under The Iron Sea (Island) to number two after potentially suffering a 60% sales drop. The remainder of the Top 10 is likely to look very similar to last week with The Kooks, Sandi Thom, Fatboy Slim, The Automatic, The Feeling and Nina Simone holding tight. (ps hmv sale having much affect on the chart? staone roses and lou reed back in the chart again :lol:) also good to see The Long Blondes & Cord in the chart. good reviews on teletext the other day. which normally means that the record will be ignored by the general public :lol: B)
June 27, 200619 yr well i am an obsessive!!! so it works! plus i started 2 buy all her singles of this album so i want 2 complete my collection! i cant have em all but one cos it wouldnt look right! is that a good enuff reason for u? and shes onlt released 5 singles of the album! which artists tend 2 do when they r big or when the album is huge! and mikey...... y cant u make her appear out of no where? ur like a god, u should be able 2 do these things! i am so dissapointed! lol x

The report Mikey kindly potst only includes the new entries that Music Week deem notable. This means that Kelly's 6th single isnt notable and probably between 40 and 20. We may find out more later in the day or the week, so be patient! :D

June 27, 200619 yr Christina Aguilera would be top 10 in the singles if her single was released to download this week, 1 week before physical release. Lily Allen is not top 10 in the download chart at the moment.
