Liverpool need to rattle up their ideas. The quality is there and we were by far the better team, but MoN knew how to get Liverpool frustrated.

P.S. Jon Champion is the biggest cock in footballing commentary. And that takes some doing.

I was reading a bit of 606 and it would seem he was on top form tonight. Slating Ashley Young something rotten for going down injured and then not going back on his word when three minutes later he gets taken off still hobbling.
I did like Joe Royle's attempt to win the David Pleat award for idiotic remarks with his "they could have scored three times in one attack" comment after Liverpool had a succession of misses.

Yeah LOL. I love his biaseness. Some commentators try to hide it, but he just can't! I think Alan Hansen does it really well though (but he's more of a pundit).

Ah well 105 points to play for. Long way to go yet. I've definitely got my concerns though, although we were like this at the beginning of last season.

There was a man on LFC TV last night said something similar but pointed out we were picking up wins when we didn't play especially well.

From what I heard on Radio 5 Liverpool weren't that bad .... as my dad told me when I was a child there's sometimes in football it's just not your day, no matter how you play. (Actually it didn't rhyme like that). Though he was talking about are local team, Coleraine, and it was rarely our day.

You weren't bad no, you had far more chances but at 2-0 up away from home against a team much 'better' than you why would any team in their right mind try and attack more? Villa defended well and Friedel was in good form, although a lot of efforts were straight at him.
Eduardo the cheating little meh!

Indeed. But, the BBC 606'ers who are joking about him doing the same thing when Birmingham's Martin Taylor tackled him are perhaps taking things too far.

Okay - I actually really like Arsene Wenger, I loved that last night where he went and stood up in the Manchester United stand.

Another win in the Carling Cup during the week for Carlisle, we have Portsmouth up at Brunton Park next round.

Yesterday, we had a hard fought draw. Thanks to a late equaliser. :cheer:

Johnstone's Paint Trophy this week. Morecambe for Carlisle.

To be fair to Adebayor, I don't think his celebrations were that out of control?

He had taken a hell of a lot of stick from the fans, and to be fair to him he didnt leave the pitch or run right up to them, he just wanted to show a little passion and get back for the stick, don't think he was that bad. I'm not saying he was right, but he shouldn't be condemned either... Gary Neville flashbacks?

The stamp however...

The celebrations deserve at least the same ban that Nathan Tyson will inevitibly get for his celebrations against Derby a fortnight ago, even though I think Adebayor's was worse. As for the stamp, if that's not warrented with at least a three game ban then the FA really do need their heads testing. It's something that should definitely not be part of the game and if I had the powers I'd give him the same 8 match ban Ben Thatcher got for his "challenge" on Pedro Mendes 8 years ago.

I wish someone had hurled a brick at him when he was celebrating. What an odious cunt.

It's funny he goes on about the Arsenal fans not supporting him but before he threatened to quit over money he always had his name sung by fans, more than othe player. He whored himself out for more money and then slags the Arsenal fans off and he's surprised by their reactions? has he ever heard of Ashely Cole? He should be greatful of Arsenal for making him what he his, no one had heard of him before that.

His excuse for the stamp was laughable, something about his momentum, does he think everyone is stupid?

In the last two weeks Carlisle won one and lost one. Unfortunately, we had to play Brighton when Nicky Forster is in form and fit.

Last week, Tranmere Rovers had a player sent off and we won 3-0. John Barnes was not very happy with his team that day to put it mildly..

Surprise result from Manchester City, I would have had Arsenal win that one.
