David Guetta at number one this week

Dizzee/Calvin and Chrome number one next week

Sugababes or Dizzee Rascal for the following week

Mika is an obvious choice for next number one

I woul dlike to see Madge orMini Viva or even Muse get a numbe rone but I think everyone who said about the one week number ones is true, it'sgoing tobe an interesting few months......

I'm so dreading this

David Guetta 1 week

Dizzee Rascal 1 week

Sugababes 1 week (maybe Dizzee)

Mika 1 week (maybe Dizzee)

Madonna 1 week

Shakira 1 week

La Roux 1 week (not so sure... maybe Shakira)

Whitney Houston 1 week

Robbie Williams 1 week

JLS 1 week (hope not) - that takes us to the 19 Oct

If that pattern appears that be 10 #1s for 1 week only :o

That isn't very likely (imo).

I always stand by my opinion that Sugababes have no chance, but for the sake of this argument, assume that they do.

I think it is very unlikely that Shakira will be able to stop Madonna even in her second week - Shakira will have a #2 maximum peak. Sucks, because She Wolf is better than Celebration. La Roux and Whitney will both peak at about #8 or so - that is unless La Roux changes at the last minute to say a re-release of Quicksand, in which case she'll go top 5 or so. Whitney is just not relevant any more and will not be #1. David, Dizzee, Madonna, Robbie and JLS should easily take it, and I'm half and half on whether Mike will stop Sugababes/Dizzee... I actually really like We Are Golden now. It's just so bad and a total fail at making a song... but I love it.

BEP have had two non-consecutive weeks, so though they were 1-week runs, it doesn't really count ;)

I'm sorry, but I think it's pretty deluded to think Eva has a chance any more.
You do realise Eva will more than likely be pushed back don't you? The hype won't die down that quick. It's a similar internet buzz to Lady GaGa 'Just Dance' so don't count it out just yet.
B-Rye, but why are you so sure about the Sugababes not being #1? :) I think 'Get Sexy' is able to sell 70k+ on its first week (it's not fact but it may be), and if 'Holiday' doesn't outsell 'Bonkers' on its second week, Sugas will have their #1.

I don't know, I just have a feeling that Sugababes are going to miss out.

I'm not sure if Sugas will miss out on #1. But with a song that "kinda rapes some people's ears", I doubt it. :P

Haven't the Sugas sold enough pre orders to get them to #1? That's just what I heard.

Btw, I don't think La Roux have the slightest chance of getting top 5, let alone #1 with their new single

Well, Sugababes ARE #1 on pre-orders but we don't know exact figures if there are 2.000 pre-ordered copies or 20.000.

B-rye, oh, well... To be honest I also doubt about it SO much because there are too many 'if's...

Anyway, we'll see very soon how Dizzee will start. For me he is the only obvious #1. About Robbie... well, we haven't heard the song yet, have we? Until then I can't say anything about it. And I don't think he will get #1 because of it's just Robbie. The brightest example of overexpectations is Dido with 'Don't Believe in Love' peaked at #64 if I'm not mistaken and 'Safe Trip Home' got only to #2 and then got out of the charts pretty quickly.

While I'd normally agree with you, in this case I'm gonna say it will be #1 because of him. Second single maybe not, but Bodies for sure.

I think he's a sure-fire number 1. Heaps of 'eagerly anticipated' promotion lined up and it just will! Besides ... there is nothing being released the same week that is any sort of threat. Easiest number 1 he'll ever have. As B-rye says though he may not get a second.

I have to wonder if anyone predicting it for #1, has actually *heard* the song... :w00t:

Pre-orders don't count towards the charts though...

Yet all of this massive internet buzz has done absolutely f*** all for it so far?! You'd think the hype would have pushed it to at least 100 sales or so!

La Roux getting to number one with "I'm Not Your Toy"?! :o I think some people are under the influence of either alcohol or drugs. "I'm Not Your Toy" will be lucky to go top 30 at this rate in my opinion.

Don't think the buzz is half as big as Just Dance, it gained popularity on YouTube because everyone assumed it Rihanna and Lady GaGa. If GaGa's Just Dance was released last year with no video, hardly any airplay etc. I still think it would get into the top 100 easily. Eva Simons has just scraped into the top 1000.

I disagree... it just hasn't been played yet. I mean, david guetta is very overrated and look where he is. although I don't think I'm not your toy will be no.1, it will probably peak at 4 or 5 at the most.

either way, next week david guetta probably will be no.1 as he is soaring in the iTunes chart (have no clue why) so he will do the same in the singles. the week after will probably be sugababes then mika, then I aint got a clue.
