January 9, 201015 yr I saw Avatar this afternoon. It was utterly brilliant - I felt like I was swept up into Pandora myself and the 3 hours flew by. Highly recommended!
January 9, 201015 yr I finally saw it last week and absolutely loved it. Definitely lived up to the hype. :)
January 10, 201015 yr I know people who have gone to see it that havent been to the cinema since Return Of The King in 2003  I feel really sorry for them. If I was to only watch two films at the cinema this decade I would at least pick something better than those. Although I'll concede it's an improvement on the usual 'blockbuster' crap.
January 13, 201015 yr Was I the only one strangely attracted to the avatars? Hmm. ): NEXT BEST THING!? 2zaJdq0VUtk&feature The movie was amazing, but this girl. She tops it.
January 13, 201015 yr I'm seeing this for the second time tomorrow and them I'm seeing it at the IMAX in London on the 15th of Feb <3
January 14, 201015 yr I'm glad to see almost universal praise in this thread about this film! I went to see it today and was expecting a lot considering the hype, and it blew me away! It wasn't as god damn amazing as people made out but it's up there and I agree with Matt, it made 3 hours seem like an hour and a half. Amazing graphics and a really nice story too... bit of a anti-deforestation message in there? I also didn't think it was as predictable as many people have said either. 9/10
January 14, 201015 yr Oh and the Leona song (I know this isn't the place but meh) was spine-tingingly pretty  New catchphrases for 2010 (or at least for the rest of January): I SEE YOU and THIS BITCH GOT GUNS. <3
January 15, 201015 yr Author NEXT BEST THING!? 2zaJdq0VUtk&feature The movie was amazing, but this girl. She tops it. I AINT A WANNABE OK? Ok. I have yet to see this and probs wont until the DVD comes out. I tend to stay away from hyped up films at the cinema, i dont really like massive crowds at the cinema as you usually get the jackasrses being twats and making loads of noise.

Go to the over18s screening. I went last night at like 11pm and the cinema was suprisingly busy, didn't expect it to be really! I won't lie I thought it was good but a little overrated. The visuals were stunning but it started to hurt my eyes, or maybe it was the time, idk. Was a pretty solid film though. I honestly cannot see how they'd make another sequel or two though.
January 26, 201015 yr Author Many of us thought that it would be decades before any movie bettered the $1.8 billion box office haul of Titanic in 1998. If anyone was going to match director James Cameron's record, however, it was going to be James Cameron. Avatar - Twentieth Century Fox Now reported to have topped $1.843 billion in international box office takings, Avatar has become the most financially successful film of all time. Avatar - the futuristic story of mankind's invasion of a forest planet populated by the blue-skinned na'avi people - now hits the top of a distinguished list of phenomenonally successful blockbusters. Who did James Cameron and stars Sigourney Weaver and Sam Worthington beat to the punch? http://movies.uk.msn.com/photos/photos.asp...entid=151882640 Im sure once DVD sales are added, I think it could easily overtake Titanic on the All Time Domestic Box Office list.
January 27, 201015 yr http://movies.uk.msn.com/photos/photos.asp...entid=151882640 Im sure once DVD sales are added, I think it could easily overtake Titanic on the All Time Domestic Box Office list. It will achieve that in the next few weeks, and will probs end up at around $650million when all is said and done. I think it's pretty much inevitable that this will be the first film to hit $2 billion worldwide. However adjusted for inflation, Titanic is at $2.5 billion worldwide and Gone with the Wind is well over $3 billion. Also, I love this film, but I found it very hard to get used to the 3D at first (the images seemed darker to me). Also I don't know if it will look as good on DVD on a standard sized non-3D TV screen. Edited January 27, 201015 yr by DanielMiles17
January 27, 201015 yr I watched it yesterday and I loved it. It was absolutely fantastic. I'm looking forward to getting it on DVD. Such a good film!
January 27, 201015 yr Went to see it tofay. Amazing :D Although it took me a while to get used to having the glasses sat on my snoz.
January 28, 201015 yr OMG... I finally got to see this I've been putting it off for ages, its amazing, love the effects and the music, breathtaking, one big let down for me would have to be the ending where Jack goes awol with the bad person, bit over the top. I wouldn't have the film in my greatest all time top 10 films but watchable..

January 28, 201015 yr I must add I nearly filled my pants on the Alice In Wonderland 3D trailer beforehand, I'd only had the glasses on 30 seconds and that Cheshire cat was right in my face :D It just won't be the same when it's released on DVD, with cheap nasty flimsy glasses.
