She is an artist that releases consistently classic singles-just look at the amazing La Tortura which many people around the world regard as a modern day classic...only Don't Bother and Objection were not worthy of the top spot. So why has she never had a UK No.1? I don't care about the sales...if she gets to No.1 then it will be the most popular track of that week and it will deserve the No.1, just as much as Elton John and Will Young did and just as much as Orson did with their 17k No.1 No Tomorrow. Why? Because they were the No.1 selling track of those week. Full Stop. And wahey to all of the climbers at No.1 this year, and some of them are not even artificial download rule climbers...Notorious BIG, Orson, Sandi Thom and hopefully Shakira will have all had genuine rises in popularity to No.1!!!

June 29, 200619 yr It isnt one of her best, but if it gets her intrest into the album and her back catalogue then that can only be a good thing. She needs commericial singles like this to raise her profile so people buy the album and find her out, don't dismiss her because of HDL/WW, scheck out songs like Inevitable, Octavo Dia, How Do You Do and such. June 30, 200619 yr I have every album from Donde estan los ladrones onwards...I like songs such as Antologia and Un Poco De Amor from her earlier career though :-)
June 30, 200619 yr DELL is truly a masterpiece by anyones standards, she really shown how diverse she could be with that album. Pies Descalzos is a great album, but I have to admit it took it some time to get used to it, but now I love the whole acoustic feel of it, especially songs like Pies Descalzos Suenos Blancos. I plan on buying the remixes while im in Spain and then apart from Magia and peligro, my shakira album collection will be complete!
