Their physical is out this week too isn't it? Well, according to the advert on TV it is... That should give them a little boost anyway! I'm pretty confident for a Sugababes #1, deservedly so.

Hmm... possibly there will be more people coming home from Reading & Leeds today, which means another boost for KoL songs?

Oh, and to everyone who says Get Sexy is 'really near' Holiday now, what are you talking about? Sexy Bitch is far ahead combined, possibly even challenging for #1, and as for the main versions of Holiday/Get Sexy/Sexy Bitch, GS is halfway between the other two. SB won't be #1 though due to physicals - and both Sugas and Dizzee have physicals this week. It will be close. A Sugababes #1 is not certain *yet*.

On an unrelated note, I'm hoping Jamie can make the top 40, though I don't understand how he isn't taking off like SnS did... and I'm also pleased to see Frank Turner in the top 300. Are Friendly Fires not added or something?

I think it's obvious that you don't want Get Sexy to be #1. And, as you have said a million times by now that Sexy Bitch has another entry at #26 that has to be combined, I think it's fair to say too that Get Sexy EP is at #8 right now in the iTunes albums chart, (which could mean even more copies that a song at #26), plus it has physical out this week while Sexy Bitch don't.

And while the physicals for Dizzee could mean just a few copies, Sugababes have a fanbase that always want physical singles and that many times have help them to climb a lot of places (like when No Can Do was #23 despite a bad position in iTunes just because of the physicals).

They have been added, I've just looked.

No idea why they're not doing well...I thought 'Kiss of Life' would definitely be their biggest hit yet! :(

I hope they show up in the next update.

Just noticed Dolly Rockers - come on top 40 :cheer:

Your facts are not right because the digital album sales are way smaller then the digital singles, so you can't say a number 6 album (here the Sugababes EP) sales more than the number 26 song. (BTW B-rye didn't say Sexy Bitch will be number 1, just that on iTunes the song is close to Holiday and Get Sexy!!!)

Whilst digital singles (downloads) have a share of 90% now in the combined single sales, digital album sales are only on around 20% of the combined album sales. It is clear that album sales are declining drastically and single sales improving, in fact singles sales are above album sales the whole year with around 35%.

It's just maths so you don't have to be a genious to see that a number 6 album/EP can't sale that many copies you're stating.

On another note I can't really see in B-rye's post that he don't want to see Sugababes at number 1, it was only his opinion. It is just you, who wants to argue/fight with someone because you're too biased :)

You are right that I don't want Sugababes to be #1. In my honest opinion, it is just a collection of noise, not a song, and in a perfect world it would flop on it's ass. But that has nothing to do with what I posted...

As Ben has already explained, digital album sales are peanuts, so I shall not go into that in detail...

And if I recall correctly, Dizzee Rascal was physical #1 with Bonkers, so you can't say he isn't a physical seller. He is at slight disadvantage on physicals this week due to not being a combined release however.

Your figures above are very different from what I've heard.

More like 98-99% for download singles, and 10% for download albums.

Well those figures were from my brain, but your figures could be more precise (but I don't think they are that much different) and confirm more my opinion :D

BTW I do think digital album sales now could be higher than 10%... or not?

A #8 album probably sells about as much as a #80 single, and that's being generous!!

Positions not updated, but based on pop bars...

Not suprised Kings of Leon are rising, their headline performance was absolutely awesome. I've always liked them, but I was seriously in AWE of them last night they were that good. Their next album will be absolutely epicccccc.

Wale #16

Booty Luv #30

Jamie T #70

Dolly Rockers #72

KoL combined have a fair lead at #6 but still a ways off #5

:cheer: Friendly Fires Number 76 :o
Thanks mainly to Rihanna, I suspect... :)
I think you're forgetting about Kanye! Kanye is just as much as a seller as Rihanna (Not AS much but he's pretty big at the moment).

This has got to be one of the biggest XF effects yet (bar Jeff Buckley).
It's really hard to say. Yes XFactor gave it a bigger boost, but with Reading and Leeds over the weekend (being televised  ), I think that helped quite a bit. Plus like B-Rye said, people coming home from those festivals today will probably download 'Sex on Fire' and 'Use Somebody'.

Come on BABES & JAY! :D Also pleased Booty Luv look definate to go Top 40 at LEAST.
