Plus I did ask to change it. Upshot is, I should never go away for the weekend again :lol: Alcazar was a snap decision too tbh, it was going to be City Girls, but I couldn't live with them not being sent...

Fair enough I respect you weren't on at the time and stuff and it wasn't your fault, but what could James and Aaron do, when like I said, it was something that couldn't be left overnight? Doesn't 'include the two that bloody hired you' rather suggest that because you were a mod before James and Aaron you think what you and Tyron have to say on a matter is more important than what James and Aaron have to say? I don't think for one moment that you or Tyron would've refused to make the decision that needed making if James and Aaron hadn't been about.
August 31, 200915 yr Phil - whilst I would have liked yours and Tyrons input at the time, myself and Aaron felt it necessary to make the decision at the time. As Jark said, it wasn't really a decision that could be left for a long time, as people had already started listening at this point and Tom had sent us both PMs. I'm appreciative that you hired us, but your tone suggests that because you were moderating this forum before us that you're of a higher authority? I appreciate fully that you want a say in decisions that are made, but like I said it was unfortunate you weren't around and it was a decision that had to be made sooner rather than later. To be honest, we said at the time that two of us agreeing represented half the board and we would take any repurcussions that came as a results of it, but Tyron has since been online and not minded our decision. I'm not getting arsey with you purposefully, as like I say we're fully sappreciative you want an input and in any other circumtances you would have obviously got one.

August 31, 200915 yr I personally didn't consider James' + Aaron's actions to be any major decision (after all, where possible we should always include - if it's a matter of leaving one person out, then we ought to let them in. More than one and then it gets to an issue whereby we need three mods) that required all of our input, although obviously three would have been preferable. If anything I was very glad that they did so as I was reading on my phone earlier that night and saw James tragically misinterpret my saying 53 was OK as me saying 53 was the absolute limit, which made things rather worrying from my end as I couldn't get online to clarify and make sure Tom could take part! Unless it's an absolute emergency though it would be far preferable to wait for a third mod's approval before going ahead though, and I appreciate in this instance that due to timing constraints we couldn't have left this much longer - I take part of the blame however as I haven't had much extended access to the internet for about two weeks and as such haven't been able to update all that much since Kath's rocketed ahead with this contest :heehee: Had I been able to edit the waiting list properly this could've been avoided, although I can assure y'alls that such an incident shall not occur again. ON another matter however. Whilst you have been a fabulox host thus far Kath, I can't say I'm too crazy about your method of semi-final allocation. I do appreciate what's done is done however, and it's no massive problem, but I would like to emphasise to future hosts that SEMI FINALS ARE ALWAYS TO BE ALLOCATED RANDOMLY (preferably using our sponsors, random.org :kink:), and it is preferred that the order is random as well due to a rather noticeable trend whereby the first few (and possibly the last few as well, although there isn't as much to suggest for this as there is for the first few) songs tend to be more successful results-wise (and before anybody starts getting all :mellow: on me, after twenty contests, most of which I've been paying attention for, yes, it is quite the noticeable trend. Check it yourself some time if you don't believe me :P). Hence I would prefer if you randomised the order for the final Kath, it only takes a couple of seconds using the List Generator on the site of aforementioned sponsors ;o Plus, if it was alphabetical it would be painfully obvious after a few qualifiers who has and hasn't qualified for the semi results :P
