So, this is to be the next record from Chicane, the follow up to the massive hit that was 'Poppiholla' (and who could have predicted its top 10 placing...i'm still in shock!!) and I think this could be just as big!!!!

 

Got its first play on the Floorfillers show on Friday night and it sounded amazing, I think this could be huge and it samples Gary Numan's 'Cars' which Armand Van Helden sampled on his top five hit 'Koochy'...I love the way the sample appears to just suddenly kick in, I never saw it coming until the moment it broke into the sample:

 

 

 

 

Currently, this is scheduled for release on September 14th but I'm unsure this will stay that way as I'm thinking it doesn't really leave much time for promotion so it could well change but hopefully with Radio 1 backing this could be a hit.

On my laptop on holiday I can't use youtube (too much bandwidth) but as soon as I get home I shall make sure to check this out.

I love it. Not as nice as 'Poppiholla' but a very good use of a sample :o I like it alot and can see it doing well (providing they push the date back a month or so...)

It's basically a drag and drop job. The sample has been used too many times anyway.

I agree; I wasn't too keen on it at first; Gary Numan's Cars has been sampled too many times and I thought it didn't mix with the song;

But strangely enough, it's a grower and I think it's very catchy and danceable.

This is not really taking off too well on iTunes - it's #50 currently, but still climbing.

Sadly removed from Radio 1 playlist, they obviously felt a flop coming :(

Shame, it still had a week or two to go til physical, probably won't make top 40 now.

I think it may sneak the top 40 like no 38
