Haha yes, your chart is more dominated by BJSC than mine ever was (my entries aside, which tend to go top three more often than not) :o

Really?

At least thanks to BJSC, I've had genuine big hits do well in my chart before they were even released as singles here - 'Video Games', 'Somebody That I Used To Know', 'Call Me Maybe', etc...

I can't begin to imagine what my chart would look like without the BJSC influence. :D (UP rarely impacts my chart in the same way)

My 12 pointer occasionally makes my top ten, and out of 49 contests, only two 'discoveries' have topped my chart, Frida Gold and Leddra Chapman's Story! It probably looks like it dominates my chart because my entries tend to do so well but that's only because I hammer them so much that it becomes a near self-fulfilling prophecy!

Two of Skall's four favourite entries of are there, which are Blank and the Sound of Arrows. Still Corners and Emiliani Torrini are sadly missing. </3

They weren't particularly huge domestic hits compared to the 20 that made it sadly, Jungle Drum only got to #6 in the Rontvian charts :o

Likewise you and Sugababes! It was high time that the queen of FSR Rontvia made her triumphant return and no doubt 20th place smash in the final! But I thought I'd round out half a century with a classic

Ricardo Delta announces landmark 50th entry

Delta Goodrem has returned to represent FSR Rontvia in the contests legendary 50th edition. The singer, who is by far the most successful artist ever in the nation, has racked up 17 chart topping singles since 2003. One of those, Believe Again, was sent by FSR Rontvia to the very first edition of BJSC, where it finished a lowly 17th. Believe Again sits at #3 in the Rontvia all time biggest selling singles chart. Delta said 'it's an honour and privilege to represent FSR Rontvia again'. Ricardo Delta said, 'we couldn't have celebrated the 50th contest in any other way than welcoming Delta back to the fold and Hunters and the Wolves is a breathtaking track in the mould of early Tori Amos that we just couldn't resist sending.' After a mixed bag of results during 2012, Still Corners' Fireflies finally provided the nation with another hit last month, whether Delta can do the same is yet to be seen but the song has quickly raced up to the top of the charts on its second week of release in FSR Rontvia, being cherry picked from the album in gigantic amounts.

FSR Rontvia. World's leading country in attracting spammers. WOOO

Thankfully, that's what we have BJSC for.

You should be honoured that James wead took the time to select your thread to post his incredible thought provoking comment. Batidas AGOG at snub. :(

Delta finishes second, losing out to Numayania on a tie-break

Delta's Rontvian smash hit has become the fifth Rontvian entry to finish in 2nd place in the Buzzjack Song Contest, following The Sound of Arrows' M.A.G.I.C., Anna Abreu's Music Everywhere (which incidentally lost out to Numayania entry The Spell by Anna Abreu), Zowie's Broken Machine and Red Hot by Lise Karlsnes. Scoring 161 points, Delta lost on a tie-break, with Numayania's winning track Indigo by Frida Sundemo being voted for by two more countries. It is the first full calendar year of BJSC that FSR Rontvia have failed to win a single contest, winning once in 2008, twice in 2009, once in 2010 and three times in 2011. Numayania managed double wins during 2012 and deservedly finished as the top nation, FSR Rontvia sliding to 4th in the overall rankings thanks to a string of bottom ten finishes.

Nevertheless, it was a stellar result for Delta, who had previously always failed in BJSC, even the mightly Believe Again only finishing in 17th place in the very first contest. Hunters and the Wolves has been #1 in FSR Rontvia for the past four weeks and has already soared into the YTD top five. Indigo charted at #47 in FSR Rontvia and has climbed to #10 in native Numayania so far. Ricardo Delta said "It's been a fantastic 50 contests and this was very nearly the best way we could have rounded it out, obviously one more point would have made it better! We thank Delta for agreeing to represent us again, we thank everybody who voted for Hunters and the Wolves and we are extremely proud to have achieved seven winners and five second placers in the past five years. 2012 was not our best year so perhaps it was fitting that we didn't manage to score a win in the year of the hipster. Nevertheless, Flares, Don't Go and Hunters and the Wolves have gone down as million selling singles in FSR Rontvia and we are very proud at least of that trio of entries, even if poor Rae Morris could only come a very underrated 14th!"

Thank you to all of the nations that have an entry featured on the first disc, what an amazing set of discoveries!

Fantastic to see Agnes Obel getting a place on CD1 of the official FSR Rontvia 'Ultimate BJSC' compilation. No doubt if Batidas ever get round to doing one of these, FSR Rontvia are sure to be represented. Possibly by Prance Faris or Still Corners although who knows what the future of BJSC holds for us (as in entering songs that could potentially earn our 12s - would love to have another 'Riverside' style success)

Yes! I'm honoured that one of my entries has managed to make it on - my favourite as well so win win. :D

I've made some great discoveries from Rontvia that are on that disc - Zowie, Chart Music, Rae Morris amongst others - so it's great to see some mutual affection.

I can't believe Ariel Pink is there. That only makes me more tempted to send John Maus.
