2 billion votes.

Plausible.

In a country with over a billion people who love BJSC and freephone lines 2bn votes is reasonably plausable

Is that the GODLY Maria Haukaas Storeng and Sara Cox in your sig?

The Kluminican Republic votes in order of favourite...

01 Sisse Marie 'Kill For Your Love'

02 Elen Levon 'Like A Girl In Love'

03 The Boom Boom 'It's Not Love (But I Love It)'

I found her a while back and Luciana of all people linked me to the new video from a post on her facebook.

Oh my god! After all this, imagine if you'd chosen one that someone else confirmed yesterday! :o

I've checked, purely because there's NO situation I could envisage Maria having ever stood with Sara Cox, and in fact it's a Norwegian TV presenter called Marianne Jemtegård that's with her. Granted in that photo she does look a lot like Sara

Elen Levon for Ashton in BJSC XLII

17 year old Australian Elen Levon has been selected as the 42nd entry to the Buzzjack Song Contest by Fotherington Islands/Ashton. It is the 40th entry by Ashton to BJSC after the reunification of The Fotherington Islands and The Federal Republic of Ashton lead to the Fotherington Islands place in BJSC being taken over by the reunited country. The 42 contest run is a BJSC record equalled only by FSR Rontvia, Kopecka and Kylienips.

Elen Levon will be repesenting Ashton with her new single, Like A Girl In Love, currently at number 2 in the Ashtonise chart.

Fantastic choice, not sure that it will quite scale the heights of Queen Damli, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it finish top ten!

agree, your song is growning on me. According to a Sangrian poll it is the best Ashtonise song since Mitt Liv Är Mitt (BJSC31-39 not included because our country did not take part in these contests). Good luck Elen :)

The ASC and SNÁ thrilled with second place

Last night Ashton finished in second place in the 42nd Buzzjack Song Contest. This marks the very first occasion in 42 contests that Ashton has finished in the top3 twice in a row. 2012 has so far seen Ashton double it's number of runner up finishes to 4 and increase our number of top3 placings from 3 to 5. The Federal Government has declared today a national day of celebration. The ASC and SNÁ wish to thank everyone who voted for Elen Levon and Ashton on our way to second place. Sources at Ashton house described the mood as euphoric with 'Like A Girl In Love' doing far better than anyone had hoped for.

We hope to have more on this story as the day progresses.

Elen Levon brings home second breaking an Ashtonise Record

Australian Elen Levon last night finished the forty-second Buzzjack Song Contest in second place bringing home 147 points for Ashton. The sensational second place finish became Ashton's first ever back to back top 3! The ASC and SNÁ are over joyed by the result which was higher than they were hoping for. A spokeswoman for SNÁ had this to say: "We are so happy to see Elen follow in the footsteps of national icon Queen Tone Damli to second place. It's a great honour to have come top 3 twice in a row and to come so close to winning both contests. We at the SNÁ share the same philosophy as the ASC and are proud to be able to present these great songs to a new audience. Any success we get, for us anyway, is an added bonus. We'd like to thank everybody who voted for Ashton, not just this month but for the last 42 contests."

The Dancepop epic is still holding strong at number two in the Ashtonise charts behind last months entry 'Look Back'.

Elen Levon had this to say at the official Ashtonise after-party: "Representing such a reputable and respected country as Ashton was an honour I couldn't say no to. Being voted runner-up is something I will not forget. It was an incredible experience just being there never mind doing so well. Thank you all for your votes!!! It means so much that you loved my song".

The after-party is still going strong at time of press.

Scale those heights it did!

Scale those heights it did!

Position wise I guess so! Points wise it'd have come 4th last month, as would Colours :o Flares, Look Back and Youth really stormed ahead of the pack didn't they!
