Brilliant choice  This will be huge!

Thanks!

I hope so, god knows i need the points. I haven't scored anything since XXI :drama:

great choice :D  I won't listen to it again until the semis/final so it stays fresh in my mind! Your best entry in ages, and the best song from Nat Bass that I've heard since Voodoo Child!
 Possibly wise if this was the first time you've heard it. Best since Butterflies? :o  It is exquisite isn't it? i've been listening to her album recently, and i was just sittin in bed listenin to my iPod on shuffle and it struck me that it would be an epic entry.

Fabulous :o

:o Praise from Kopecka as well

Name Change #2 for Ashton?

Years after the merger of Forthington Islands and Ástén saw the registered name with BJSC organisers the Buzzjack Broadcasting Union change from FI to Ashton, the countries registered name could be set to change again.

Emperor Silas today announced that the Ashtonise name for the country [Ástén] was to return to Áskorza. [see updated Ashtonise History in first post] The full title of the country is Fejderand Republique d'Áskroza [The Federal Republic of Ashton].

The Áskorzan people were the first settlers of the land in 13010BC until the country collapsed into Chaos ruled by various factions. Over the past 15000 year the country has been reunited under the descendants of the first Emperor [Emperor Morpeth Áskorza] under the name Ástén. Since Emperor Silas Áskorza reunited the country in full in 2008. It was the vision of Emperor Tivor for the country to be reunified under the Áskorza name.

Ashton is currently awaiting the results of a national referendum on whether it should change it's english name to Áskorza. It would be the first time in 1000years that Ashton has used it's native name on the international stage after Emperor Grait Áskorza ruled that Ástén was not easily pronounced by foreign nations. [Pronounced as A-sh-tea-en, it was mispronounced as As-ten] Grait ruled Ashton to be a suitable english translation and the the country has been known as Ashton ever since.

International Feedback on the proposed move from Ashton to Áskorza is welcomed and encouraged.

I can't really change my name after 23 contests can I? :drama:

Looks like i'm just gonna have to give my former rep a kick up the arse an tell it to man the f*** up.

Ashton's here to stay :smoke:

Oh and if NatBas doesn't qualify this time, you'll think the previous set of Anti-Cheap measures were lenient in comparison. :kink:

Amazing power ballad  and without a doubt this won't fail from doing super things in results table.

and please if you have time, help me with my selections.

Ashton Ends It's Electropop Era

Ashton has ended its love affair with Electropop in BJSC this month by sending the stunning power ballad 'Turn The Lights On' by Australian Natalie Bassingthwaighte. The first ballad that Ashton has sent since Dragonette's 'True Believer' in IV finished in 9th, marking Dragonette's only top10 position in their multiple attempts for glory. What is most shocking about the sending of the power ballad is that the ASC says it marks the end of Ashton's Electropop Era. The shocking decision by the ASC to axe the countries distinctive sound comes after a string of poor results for the country. Ashton has failed to get an electropop song into the top10 since the electro-esque Don't Wanna Go To Bed Now in XI.

The ASC hopes to end it's run of poor results that has seen just 3top 10's since X and 4DNQ's, Three of which have come successively, and Ashton lose it's coveted Most Successful Non Winner Status as it's slid down the all time leader board.

While the ASC hasn't ruled out Electropop entirely for the future, it has decided to move Ashton's sound in a different direction. Many bloggers and critics within Ashton are hopeful that the country will return to it's traditional sound that saw it score 7top10's in 9contests. The ASC however has confirmed that it will remain faithful to it's current XXVI and XXVII plans. Which look set to see RnB or Pop and ElectroPopRock represent the country as the Australian invasion continues. Following this, the ASC has confirmed that it will actively search for songs that do not fall into the Electropop or Scandipop category.

As with everything the ASC says, this is subject to change and will entirely depend on the success or failure of Natalie in BaNG. Personally, i hope Nat lands Ashton back into the top10 after it's long and undeserved absence from not only the top10 but the final. The end of the Electro Era for Ashton might just kickstart the start of a Golden Era.

Yeah, but your two previously well inspired tracks in your DNQ-trio these last months also recieved some positive feedback. :( (Feed me to the boys and Kuivilla Susta). I'm starting to like the nation of Ashton more these days, so hopefully other nations will follow. Anyway, you deserve a place in the final now. Especially with this :cheer:

They did, but not so much outside of the 4country voting bloc Ashton fits into.

:cheer: Good to hear! We used to do very well, but have struggled recently, so hopefully we can bring some people back to Ashton.

 We think so too, but we also thought Untouched deserved top10 and Kristiina deserved qualification

Japayork Gets All Emotional in Ashton

Japayork today continued his tour of the BuzzJack world in the nation of Ashton (assuming no name changes have occured during the writing of this report!) by performing to tracks live on Ashtonise radio. The Kingdom of Shadow's autoqualifying entry into BJSC XXV was quite excited to hear Nat Bass would once again be returning to the BJSC in XXV; 'She's fast becoming a contest legend. Is this her third or fourth entry now? I don't know but I DO know they've all been stunning and I'm ecstatic Ashton have been brave enough to send the stunning 'Turn the Lights On'. We all know The Great Kingdom famously sent Mutya with a ballad and it proved very risky but I really hope Ashton are more successful this time!'. The Kingdom of Shadow has received a barrage of points from the Ashtonise people in the last few contests but will Japayork be a little too electro in the newer and purer public?
