Pink through the years

After Can’t Take Me Home, Pink decided that she wanted more control over her music. Her new album, Missundaztood, was released in 2001 and was a huge success, selling 12 million world wide.

Pink’s idol, Linda Perry, helped her out writing the album. Pink found Linda’s number in her make up artist’s phone book and left a message saying she would love to work with her.

Pink decided to call the album Missundaztood because: "I think we all feel misunderstood, and our main goal is to be appreciated for all that we are - most of the time we don't even fully understand ourselves ... thus the title of my album”

Pink teamed up with many artists for Missundaztood, including, Linda Perry who co-wrote most of the songs on the album and provided vocals for Lonely Girl. Pink also worked with Steven Tyler and Richie Sambora on the song Misery. Scott Storch and Dallas Austin were also writers on the album.

At the 2003 Grammy Awards "M!ssundaztood" was nominated for "Best Pop Vocal Album" and "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance",

Missundaztood got to number 8 on the US Billboard 200, its peak posistion was number 6.

In november 2006, Missundaztood was number 94 on the Official UK Charts all time best selling albums list. The albums peak posistion in the UK is number 2.

Tracklisting

Three different versions of M!ssundaztood were made: the original, the limited edition (including a bonus DVD) and a third version with an extra track, "Catch-22". The length of the original was 55:20.

its my fav album of all time, i love it :wub:

i need to get another copy of it tho, my original copy is scratched so much that it wont play any more, i think i have 3 copies of this album but they're all different versions :lol:

this was also the first album that i brought by myself too. i used to save up my dinner money at school so i could buy singles (i'd go all day without anything eat so i could buy my cds :lol: ) and i saved up enough to buy missundaztood :)
