Ugh most of my favourites (well the ones that had a realistic chance of qualifying) fell out in the no-use-to-anyone AQ zone! Happy at the small climbs for Maccabees and Wolf Alice, sad at the drops for Everything Everything. Does this mean a better or worse year for indie...?

Saw them live in Liverpool last night for album launch gig (although half the songs they played were old ones) and it was a phenomenal gig overall. Bloom Baby Bloom and White Horses are by far the two standouts for me on the new album, which otherwise I find a bit one-note like others have said. They both sounded truly amazing live last night. Some of the other new songs worked well in the intimate setting of last night's gig but the jury's out on whether they'll transfer well to the arenas this winter.

Coming to it a week late, but the sombr album is fantastic. I liked all the singles but amazingly I think almost all the non-released / non-viral album tracks are better than the singles!
