Their 40th anniversary of The Final Countdown Tour is the only thing I can think of - I imagine it's been pushed a lot on the likes of Planet Rock, etc.

Coming for a #1 with their debut album 😮 Nothing they've released so far has really clicked with me tbh, but I look forward to checking out the album this week.

David Guetta must be up there too in terms of acts that have never had big gaps in being playlisted. But of course he'll be a few years behind Coldplay, and it's less impressive for DJs who typically work with younger acts. I can see Calvin Harris still being playlisted in 20 years if he's still releasing bangers!

Yeah I haven't heard it back, but the reviews have been great! Currently has a 77 user score on AOTY - their second highest at just one point behind Broken Machine.

'Bottle' and 'I Won't Cry' have both released in the last month. Nothing's really clicking with me though, which is a shame as 'Big Ideas' was one of my most played of 2024.

This is pretty good, and fits the film very well - it's a shame the rest of the music featured didn't quite fit the vibe of the original for me.

Speaking of Blossoms, Oré on Life Hacks the other day said the song was "Additional Driver by Declan McKenna" 😭
