Diana Vickers - Once
YES!!! One of the best songs she’s made, so underrated and one of the best album closing songs I’ve heard, brings a tear to my eye actually. I’d also go as far as to say as an album Music to Make Boys Cry is better than Songs From the Tainted Cherry Tree despite being shorter, the quality really increased as she found her sound and it’s a shame it got pretty slept on.

The Life of a Showgirl - 12th Album
Went to my second Swiftageddon a few weeks ago and hearing Actually Romantic after a few beers hits SO well, what an absolute banger. This album has grown to be better than TTPD in my eyes, I knew it would get there after being a bit of a letdown initially. I still wouldn’t class it as one of her best, but it just needed to be given a chance. The songs have their own identities after being given some time and listening in different headspaces.

Opalite • 2nd Single
Glad she’s chosen this instead of Elizabeth Taylor which did grow on me in the end, but this is one of the best on the album and has more staying power. Excited to see the video!

Ava Max - Don't Click Play
It’s still a solid 8/10 though!! I’d rate the album as follows: 11 Don’t Click Play 10 How Can I Dance 08 Lovin Myself 10 Sucks To Be My Ex 10 Wet Hot American Dream 09 Take My Call 11 Know Somebody 08 Lost Your Faith 06 Fight For Me 10 Skin In The Game 08 World’s Smallest Violin 08 Catch My Breath I couldn’t not give 2 11s here as Don’t Click Play is SUCH an anthem and Know Somebody is among her best.

Ava Max - Don't Click Play
WHAD is one of my favourites and an absolute banger but she should have for sure gone with Don’t Click Play or How Can I Dance as a single and Know Somebody too to showcase a different side to her. Lovin Myself and Lost Your Faith are two of the worse songs on the album, still love them but totally wild choices of songs to lead the album campaign. It was doomed from the off.

Ava Max - Don't Click Play
This really is the album of the year for me. A slow burner, unlike Diamonds and Dancefloors (which was also the album of the respective year) although the latter probably has higher highs and will probably have a bit more something different about it. Sad her career has kind of just died and she was never properly invested in because this being slept on so much is sad. Know Somebody in particular is one of my most played songs of the year and going through a pretty tough breakup it’s hitting harder than ever. Really stunning hard hitter of a song. Don’t Click Play, Sucks To Be My Ex, How Can I Dance, Skin In The Game and Wet Hot American Dream are also up there. Fight For Me is the only song I’d rank below an 8 and falls a bit flat.

Drag Race UK Season 3 // Episode 1
I don’t get how Elektra was even bottom, the critiques made so little sense especially when Kitty got away with that hometown look which looked like it was made with bunched purple film which isn’t even the same colour as Cadbury’s packaging! Second look was poor too. Saying that though my god I got my life during that lipsync, poor Anubis stood no chance. She was one of the exciting ones before the challenge kicked off so sad she screwed it up across the board. Faves are Elektra, Victoria, Charity and Choriza. Really not liking Krystal tbh, I get that she won because Victoria messed up the lipsync but I don’t find her drag that exciting even if it is technically good. Plus I get HUGE A’Whora vibes. Nah thanks.

19. Song of the Week: august
My favourite song to come from Folklore and Evermore, it’s so so stunning. I can’t shout enough about it
