I know and the fact it was like the 6th or 7th highest new entry then as well :o [it was below if I remember correctly, Cheryl- 1, Neon Jungle- 3, Cher Lloyd- 4, Charli XCX- 5, La Roux- 10 and maybe someone else, god that was one busy weekend]. It could have peaked a lot higher if it was not released on that weekend :puke2:

Actually, I think it might be my third least favourite. It's slightly more bearable than All of Me and Happy. I agree with a lot of your hate chart actually, Wiggle, ASFOS (i completely agree with you ! ), ukip calypso and walking with elephants which is really boring now.,

So now the worst songs list part is over, time to move onto the next part which is artists of the year. This will go through my 10 favourite artists of 2014 in no order and lets start with one of the best- Lana Del Rey

 

Born To Die was a fantastic debut album in 2012 with great songs such as Video Games, Born To Die, National Anthem, Blue Jeans, Lucky Ones and so many more so I was greatly looking forward to her followup. My excitement spiked really highly when the first few billboards of the album were released and they looked amazing. Then West Coast premiered and Lana had pretty much locked a space in the 10 best artists this year. West Coast's release saw 6 or 7 other Lana tracks re-enter my top 20 as West Coast scored the biggest opening of the year at the time. The video was beautifully shot and the song spent an eternal in my chart. Buzz was now sky high and Ultraviolence did not disappoint as it scored the biggest opening sales ever for an album in my chart [soon beaten by 1989]. The album is just a stroke of genius with the storming album opener Cruel World to my favourite song from the album, the beautiful and striking Ultraviolence. Other highlights include Shades Of Cool, Money Power Glory and Pretty When You Cry. I remember during Glastonbury this year watching Lana Del Rey live on my Ipad as she was performing and it was a beautiful, great and powerful performance. Lana is so striking and I adore her music. My only complaint is that she literally did no promotion for Ultraviolence but nevertheless the quality of the songs and the albums are enough for the top 10 here

Tbh who never knew Lana would be here. Anyone? :cheer: I love Lana but pre-this album though :P

Artists To Watch In 2015: 1. Meghan Trainor

So the first name on my artists to watch list for 2015 is Meghan Trainor who has already had a massive hit with all about that bass and liked about 6 of my pictures on instagram in 2014. However things should go massive next year for her in January with a hit single/album/massive album track looking likely. The added on spotify today Lips Are Movin is just an amazing pop tune which is catchy and nearly as good as her breakthrough hit, this could really contend to be one of the first new #1's of 2015 and a massive seller in the meantime. The week after her album Title [i think its called :kink:] is released and should score massive sales but number 1 might be unlikely as she is going up against Charli XCX who's album is definitely 1 to watch but she has had 4 top 20 hits including 3 top 10 hits and featured on a million seller this year so she is ineligible for the artists to watch. Also another reason why Meghan is going to be massive is that because the album is out in January, that also means the fabulous and meant to be 2nd single Dear Future Husband will be out and should be pretty big here as it still remains flawless. Meghan's material so far has been great and she should really go from having 1 big hit to being a massive artist next year :wub:

 

Next up it is a return to artist of the year and this isn't an artist you will learn to live without. Any guesses?

ARTISTS OF THE YEAR: IDINA MENZEL

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone but I am going to be honest, if only Let It Go charted for me this year by Idina, she would have actually not been on the artists of the year list but she released You Learn To Live Without/ If/Then soundtrack and a Christmas album which are all stunning so Idina certifies her place onto this list pretty easily. First song we should talk about will have to be one of the best songs ever which I am listening to now as it just came up on my spotfiy playlist. Obviously I am referring to the wonderful [and definitely not screechy :angry: ] LET IT GO :wub:. This is just a magnificent masterpiece of the greatest kinds of earth but that is it about this song until the EOY countdown. Idina also scored hits from Frozen off For The First Time In Forever and its reprise. However Idina proved she would be able to score another hit song in the form of You Learn To Live Without from the musical If/Then. The song debuted at 6th in June with around 80k opening sales and would have been top 3 in most weeks between January-September but with new entries from Ella, Lana, Kasabian and Ed and another song from Queen Idina slaying, there was no room. If/Then also made my album chart making this the 2nd compilation Idina has appeared on in my charts this year but last month also saw her get her own big album- Christmas Wishes. This is an amazing album with a selection of great festive covers such as All I Want For Christmas Is You and Baby It's Cold Outside which makes Michael Buble sound bearable. Anyway of course I am super excited for Idina performing on X-Factor this weekend and let the storm rage on as the cold never bothered me anyway :wub:

 

Anyone want another artist now? The next artist will be an artist to watch in 2015 who have never charted in my top 40 before [and again have came up on my spotify playlist now]. Any guesses?

Artists To Watch In 2015: 2. Sheppard

I probably wouldn't even know who Sheppard were if I hadn't seen GoodDelta's weekly charts and saw Sheppard doing well there so I decided to check Geronimo out. The song is absolutely amazing and is very I don't know :lol: . Probably great i'd see. Anyway it is meant to be released mid next month and should be a massive hit [unlikely #1 because it's going up against Meghan however fellow Australians The Veronicas and Iggy Azalea were massive in 2014 without going to number 1]. Not much to say apart from that they should do really well in my charts next year and look like a new act to watch- just don't really know any of their other stuff apart from Geronimo. And that artwork is stunning :wub:

 

And the last of the 3 best artists of 2014 [it was going to be more but it was literally turning into all the information I will probably use for my album chart commentaries so I am just doing my absolute 3 favourites who are all quite a mile ahead]. Obvious who's it going to be :)
