Someone posted it as gerihorner.com on spice circle but it is listed as Halliwell... I just typed in gerihorner.com and it redirected to the halliwell site.

Geri having a website which is essentially just a holding page for her social media links is certainly reflective of how she doesn't really do much career-wise these days.

I never really got into the 'Man on the Mountain' leaks, because I found it hard to shake off who they're associated with (same goes for 'Song for Her'), which is a personal problem. Maybe I should give it another go, someday. (Random, but just like with Victoria's 2003/4 song leaks*, I'm a little reluctant to refer to the Geri songs as an album... because if there hadn't have been leaks & she'd actually gone ahead with releasing an album commercially, it might have included different songs, different track list order, different production... so I just think of them as demo leaks from recording sessions that unfortunately didn't materialise in a proper album).

Another offputting element is the fairly blah quality of those leaks. I do wonder if those who came to have these files originally actually had them in higher/highest quality, but deliberately reduced the quality before leaking?

I do have mixed feelings about those songs being leaked, because even though that was such a violation for Geri, at the same time... I don't particularly trust that she would have ended up releasing anything even if they hadn't have leaked - remembering that she'd been working on music as early as 2012, but kept scrapping the sessions and moving on to new sessions. So because of her unreliability, I'm at least glad that fans got more music from her to enjoy via the leak. I think it's unfortunately the case that she has a lack of confidence/determination to gather together a set of songs and be happy to share them in a conventional way. It seems she really fears "failure" in the charts. Which is certainly frustrating, that's something she really should ideally have moved on from caring about years ago. But alas.

Based on the fan descriptions of her Rainbow Woman YouTube series videos, I didn't bother watching the majority of them - to me, the idea of being teased with clips of new songs, with her talking over them, was a frustrating concept. It was at this point I pretty much let go of having a strong desire to have new music from her.

* Maybe I'm just picky but it does tend to irk me when people refer to Victoria Beckham having a second album called 'Open Your Eyes', when it was a selection of demos from an untitled CD-R Promo Disc! Had Victoria's second album come to fruition I bet it wouldn't have actually included many songs from the so called 'Open Your Eyes' album, given that she seemed keen on leaning in the R&B direction instead! I know this is totally off topic xx

It's actually quite hilarious that even in demo leak and probably not the album we would have got both OYE and MOTM are each girls best album for me

I'm assuming that Geri website is so *when Spice Girls tour tickets go on sale and things ramp up further into the year and she gets an injection of fame again she will sign some solo sponsorship deals again.

After 2018 pic of the 5 of them the offers came in for solo deals too. Pride tours, solo album, royal albert hall gig, sponsorship and book deals they all got nice individual boosts and offers in 2018/2019 too. Which I'm sure they will again.

You can see the buzz for them has worn off from that as they are pretty much back to super basic stuff like tv talent shows, odd tv jobs and social sponsored posts.

Yeah. I've been similarly conflicted about the leaks. Ultimately, the songs are Geri's work...Geri's art...and even as a fan, I'm not owed that.

On the flip side, for her to spend years and years playing bits of songs in baking videos, doing interviews to tease new material, and then releasing snippets to YouTube with her talking over them...*is* odd and confounding. I don't actually think she was trying to troll anyone. My guess is she was trying to generate enough interest in her work to get a more traditional album release deal. If memory serves correctly, she has been offered digital-only releases for this material...but she kept holding out to release a physical album.

As an aside, to my ears, Geri's leaked material from a few years ago sounds more finished than the unreleased Victoria material. My guess is the Geri stuff was pretty much ready to go...just waiting for a proper avenue to get out there...while Victoria's stuff is demos.

Last thought. How did the collection of songs get dubbed Man on the Mountain, anyway? I feel there are several of her song titles that better sum up the full work...

I have always wondered this, is it just because of the artwork that was created and it just latched on? I have always like the title as it is something completely different to what I would expect from the girls but I also don't see Geri choosing that as a title, can imagine her choosing something like Phenomenal Woman, Humanity, Love & Light, Back In Business or I'm Older Now as titles.

Same for Victoria's Open Your Eyes, how was it that was adopted as the title?

That's a good question about Man on the Mountain, and I honestly can't remember! Moments like this make me frustrated about DenDen's deletion, because it really was an archive of information. Maybe somebody could ask on Spice Circle if anybody remembers? If I was to guess, like Spiceboy says I imagine it was a fan made artwork with a fan made title, which caught on.

I'm a bit vague about Open Your Eyes too. I'll bump a topic about it so we don't go too far away from talking about Geri!

From what I remember it was a fan who did a cover art design as a mock up and it catched on with that title...

Do you not visit Spice Circle just because of one member? If so, you can just block him and you won't have to see his name, replies and posts ever again. ;)

From what I remember that orange fan posted a screenshot of his phone with that title and track list.

I visit occasionally, but because I'm an admin in that group* he still shows up! (I know, I should get over it :kink: I'm too sensitive)

Otherwise, I tend to find Facebook groups quite chaotic and hard to follow! I'm a bit set in my ways, and like how forums are more structured.

* Not sure how I still am tbh, considering how infrequently I am there :kink:

I wonder who designed it? I don't know whether he was ever asked about the artwork and track list order

What is the link to as I refuse to click on daily hate racist sexist homophobic mail...

It's The Sun, not The Daily Mail.

It's The Sun, not The Daily Mail.

Which is just as bad as The Daily Mail, isn't it

They're still going with the "Spice Girls have broken up and now they're all poor and desperate for work" angle I see (despite Gerita being rich as shit and them raking in millions by doing crap like lego endorsements).
