As the title says. Fairly straightforward.

I've tried to limit the options to options which seem plausible but it's entirely possible I've made some glaring ommissions there hence there being an 'Other' option for all 6.

Personally I think it'll go:

Nero

Wretch 32

Olly Murs

Example

Pixie Lott

One Direction

David Guetta

David Guetta (i did say Nero but didnt realise they were on the 1st poll as well - Wretch would make a very boring no1)

Olly Murs

Example

Pixie Lott

One Direction (really obvious lol)

This week ending thing confuses me (sorry, Bre). :P So I'll make my slightly different take instead:

Chart in:

14th August - JLS

21st August - Wretch 32?

28th August - Olly Murs?

4th September - Ed Sheeran

11th September - Leona or Pixie

18th September - I don't know...

25th September - Jason Derulo?

Edited by FM11

It probably go

Nero

Wretch 32

Olly Murs

Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran/Leona Lewis - bloodbath week, I'm sure an act or 2 will get pushed back. I can't really call it.

1Direction - blatantly obvious with an X Factor performance, actually cancel that the live shows don't start till the 1st week of October.

X Factor Charity single

oops return of the 1 weekers at #1 :(

Nero

Wretch 32

Olly (reckon Calvin could run him very close though)

Ed Sheeran (wishful thinking)

Pixie Lott (or Ed/Example for week number two I guess)

One Direction

So many people have come around to Nero as a potential #1 now! :o I was on my own a few weeks ago!

I might be in the minority for thinking this but the new Wretch 32 track is WOEFUL. I mean, that singer is just painful to listen to. The only good bit about the entire song is the intro (with the reverbed female singing "yeaahh-eh-ehh-ehh-yeahh"). That's it!!!

Sadly due to lack of competition it probably will be another criminal record at #1. Go UK!!! :nocheer:

Anyways, my predictions:

14th August 2011

Nero - Promises

21st August 2011

Wretch 32 feat. Josh Kumra - Don't Go :manson: (I'd rather see Nero #1 for a fortnight but just don't see it happening)

28th Augus 2011

Olly Murs feat. Rizzle Kicks - Heart Skips A Beat

4th September 2011

Example - Stay Awake

11th September 2011

Leona Lewis - Collide

18th September 2011

One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful

25th September 2011

One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful

Pixie's is the only song of that whole bunch I actually like.

No one has even heard the One Direction song yet...

I'd say:

Nero - Promises

Wretch 32 feat. John Kumra - Don't Go

Olly Murs feat. Rizzle Kicks - Heart Skips A Beat

Ed Sheeran - You Need Me, I Don't Need You

Pixie Lott - All About Tonight

One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful

There's quite a bit of drama about them on Twitter atm! :o Don't have clue what about though.

To be honest, I hate to say this, but I think a fair few people already know whether they'll like One Direction's song.

It's good to see at least you are being open-minded about it though. :D I'm personally keeping my expectations really low, so when I hear it I'm more likely to be pleasently surprised than dissappointed.

I went for wishful thinking with Nero getting a fortnight, I wouldn't begrudge Wretch a #1 though. I can actually see Example holding on to #1 ahead of all and sundry the week after :o

I'm not above really liking songs by artists who I really shouldn't be liking (JLS, Cher Lloyd, Joe Jonas just to name 3 recent ones). I *expect* to hate the OD song but knowing my recent track record I'll probably end up liking it

Yeah, to be honest, I'm quite the same. I think when an artist has a stream of songs I hate (e.g. Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, etc.), it gets to the point where I just expect to hate everything they put out (which is understandable, in a way).

But sometimes they then release a song where I'm thinking "Hmm, that's not too bad" (e.g. Alejandro, Marry You, etc.). So I guess it is always worth keeping an open mind. Even if it gets to the stage sometimes when you lose all hope of the artist ever releasing something you like.

Tony Bennett and Amy Winehouse - Body And Soul

Olly Murs feat. Rizzle Kicks - Heart Skips A Beat

I think the only "obvious" one is Olly Murs. There's no way he'll miss #1.

I must be the only person who thinks Calvin Harris will beat him :o

Well, as 5 people said that in the poll, you clearly aren't :P I think it's more likely Olly will get #1 but I wouldn't completely rule out Calvin, Calvin is doing better on iTunes pre-orders at least.

Week 1: Nero

Week 2: Nero (I can't see Wretch doing it, if he couldn't do it with Unorthodox which had better airplay & was more commercial)

Week 3: Olly Murs ft Rizzle Kicks

Week 4: Example

Week 5: Pixie Lott

Week 6: One Direction
