It seems Faster is going to be single 13 from The Saturdays as it was confirmed on Radio 1 today by Greg James. What are everyone opinions? I think it's wise as the radio will eat it up and it is the second cherry picked behind the amazing last Call.
Edit: QUOTE The Saturdays have confirmed the title of their next single. The girl group are expected to release their Travie McCoy collaboration 'The Way You Watch Me' as the fourth cut to be lifted from their recent album On Your Radar. Music video production site Video Static has listed the accompanying visual as "In Production" as well as confirming the promo's director as Taylor Cohen. Speaking about working with McCoy, band member Mollie King recently told Digital Spy: "Travie sent the track in and we were like, 'Oh my God! Travie knows about us?'" Rochelle Wiseman added: "Me and Vanessa were saying earlier that we get sent a lot of tracks and it came through with all of the others and as soon as I heard the intro, 'Yeah, it's Travie', I was like, 'Sold!' "So that decision was an instant for me as there's something about his voice. You know straight away that it sits." The 'All Fired Up' performers are currently preparing to start their first ever UK arena tour in Bournemouth this Friday (December 2). http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a35...ext-single.html Edit by 2nd Adventure. Yep good choice I think! I would also like to see White Lies and Get Ready, Get Set given a single release to though!

It's not my favourite but still gets 10/10. I think it would be a great single choice!!! I'm hoping for White Lies, Get Ready, Get Set, Last Call & TWYWM as singles as well, I know they won't all be singles, but I'm hoping that the other singles are from these 4.

This is so much better, radio friendly and "Saturdays style" than the previous three so good choice BUT Get Ready Get Set is screaming for a release.

The thing is if white lies, get ready get set, the way you watch me and last call don't get released I'll be disappointed! Delighted they've announced single 4 already though

it's a fantastic song, possibly my favourite song by them overall too so I really hope that it's true.

Definitely the best choice, it could stabilize the campaign if handled correctly. Though that's maybe just wishful thinking

Apart from Greg James we have no official confirmation - the girls said on Digital Spy about 2 days ago that Faster is not "necessarily the next single", and that they're waiting for fan response and feedback to help them decide.
I hope it is the next single though. |

If Radio 1 have played it and show signs of backing it, it would be a sensible choice and IMO it's the safest choice anyway given that it sounds very similar to Alexis Jordan's song which did really well, I loved the performance of it at the Album Chart Show too, deff a good choice! I would love Get Ready, Get Set at some point too.

Get Ready, Get Set would be a terrible single choice.
Imagine the video. Una 6 months pregnant singing "I can do it with my hands tied behind my back" would be inappropriate to say the least. At least the Faster lyrics are more suitable for the situation and relevant to Una, her baby's making her heart beat faster. This post has been edited by 2ndAdventure: 21st November 2011, 10:49 PM |

Apart from Greg James we have no official confirmation - the girls said on Digital Spy about 2 days ago that Faster is not "necessarily the next single", and that they're waiting for fan response and feedback to help them decide. Well. They've got the fan response and feedback, which has generally been very positive about the song. I'd also say the critic's have also classed it as a highlight. So this choice would be best, imo. 'White Lies' and 'Do What You Want With Me' (and 'Last Call' considering earlier it was the most cherry picked album track, although - not checked since I got back from work a minute or two ago, so I dunno if anything's changed.) would make perfect future singles, too.
I hope it is the next single though. |

They really should have a video for this out as soon as they can to keep the album steady before it gets completely forgotten about.

Seems like this is set to be the 4th single lifted from On Your Radar... directed by Taylor Cohen. He shot the video for Higher, too.
Obviously there's no official confirmation so if the mods want to lock the thread that's cool. QUOTE IN PRODUCTION: The Saturdays f/ Travie McCoy - Taylor Cohen, dir. •artist: The Saturdays f/ Travie McCoy •song: "The Way You Watch Me" •label: Polydor •director(s): Taylor Cohen •production co: Doomsday Ent •producer: Danielle Hinde, Mikey Levelle •commissioner: Emily Tedrake http://videostatic.com/ If this is true then I'm not sure about this - should be White Lies or Faster! They've most likely gone for this as the safe option because of the Travie appearance. Then again, I suppose the Travie feature will get them some more exposure though which is what they need most at the minute but I'm doubtful this will save the campaign. I hate to be pessimistic but this is another catastrophic mistake in this era, this really isn't the song to save it... Faster may have done it but even that was doubtful. I suppose it's good we're at least GETTING another single.

Not the best choice for a fourth single and to save the era tbh, it's one of my least favourites on the album...

I think they are trying to play it safe, hoping this will sell the album also because they know this will get sales on Travie's name alone.
Best choices: The Way You Watch Me Faster White Lies This post has been edited by Lew: 29th November 2011, 06:37 PM |

Since people have the track on the album now, will most people bother to download it as a single too? Oh, and a quiet release week please! I can't deal with the stress of another 'chart battle'.
They've not released a single after the album release since Issues and Work have they? There are better tracks but this choice will probably bring in some promo thanks to Travie, which is what they badly need right now. This post has been edited by Encore: 29th November 2011, 06:46 PM |

'Ego' and 'Higher' were also released after Wordshaker and Headlines were released. |
