He did some mixing/enginering on previous efforts. https://twitter.com/NeilATucker/status/360515849011986434 I guess it's time to start a thread about her next "chapter" ! :cheer:I was a bit unsure when she would get back to work since it seemed she wanted to take a long-ish break, but apparently she's already back in the studio.No indication of when we get new music, but I guess it would be first semester of 2014, like "A million lights". I'd love to get something by the end of the year though but it might be too early.

I'm looking forward to what she comes up with though, and whether she stays with a sound that worked quite well with her on A Million Lights or goes more 90s R&B such as what is current now. I imagine she personally would prefer the latter, so we'll see...!

I imagine she personally would prefer the latter, so we'll see...! I'd like to see her experiment with that 90s R&B too, although I'm all for her having some Xenomania stuff as well. A pre-album released second single would be nice too, so that we don't have a #18 or #13 follow up to big number ones.
July 26, 201311 yr I reckon Cheryl should ditch will and do a full album with Xenomania instead. They're too busy with Queen Nadine I hope! 'Call My Name' is by far my favourite Cheryl single so I hope she focuses more on dance as it really suits her.

A Million Lights was her best album but it's not exactly a compliment, the first album was dire and Messy Little Raindrops was possibly the worst album I ever heard.
August 9, 201311 yr Late, but whateva. She really needs to stick with the same overall sound that A Million Lights had (the album as a whole, but especially the song). Another Under the Sun would do just PERFECTLY, too, and it would be great if she could get another track from Lana too. :kink:
August 9, 201311 yr Ew no. 'Under The Sun' was incredibly weak. There's a reason why it only peaked at number 13 and didn't become the big hit people had expected it to be. I've never understood the fascination with that song. 'A Million Lights' was/is an incredibly strong album. She had far better to choose from and a lot of it went to waste, imo. As generic as 'Call My Name' is, she completely OWNED it and made it work. As long as there's some more 'Fight For This Love'/'Heaven'/'Stand Up'/'A Million Lights' (the best ballad of her career)/'Ghetto Baby''s on the album, then I'll be happy enough.

August 9, 201311 yr I only just realised recently that 'The Flood' is about incontinence. :lol: 'Under The Sun' grew on me in the end, I think it did OK considering she can't really get hit singles post-album since her first album anyway. I knew it'd never go top 10, shame 'Screw You' didn't get released.
August 11, 201311 yr I'm really looking forward to Cheryls next album. But since she has been off the scene a little while I'll be interested to see how her team build hype around her again. Her first two albums had the whole X Factor hype. And even for her third album she was still in the media/tabloid spotlight a lot. She needs to have some 'story' or drama to create attention again IMO.

March 23, 201411 yr Author With Cheryl back on the X Factor, it's pretty much a given that she will release her 4th album this year. Papers are reporting she is performing her new single on Britain's got talent (so I guess in April/May?). If that's true, I'd love her to release a first single now, then a second single with the album in september when she's on the X Factor, and a third single around Christmas time with an other performance on the X Factor finale. This would be pretty amazing. I wouldn't rule out a performance on The Voice either, with will.i.am on the show and the BBC wouldn't necessarily block her. Anyway, EXCITING TIMES ahead. March 23, 201411 yr I'm very much looking forward to this! I'm not sure what sounds she's going to go for as I don't really know what's popular but as long as it's GOOD, I'll like it :D
