A couple of advance notes/warnings to anyone who wishes to avoid my harassing PMs come confirmation (apologies in advance):

  • This contest will be using flags (in Polandball ripoff form as demonstrated above and in the first post of my last contest's confirmation thread) so if you haven't made a flag yet - April (:hi:) - I advise you do so before confirmation starts. You may also want to include your flag in your confirmation PM to ensure I've used the right one in my graphics though this will not be required as I have quick access to flags for more or less every country (and indeed I will be reusing most of those graphics from LXVIII, though if you feel like changing your flag and making me redraw your countryball then feel free).

  • This contest will also see the return of SOUNDCLOUD RECAPS, because I just love fighting with Audacity and SoundCloud and subsequent Rachel Row-adjacent lawsuits. Those of you who entered my last contest will be familiar with the following request: I will be asking everyone to choose a ~25-35 second segment of their entry which they feel best represents it, so the recaps sound as good as possible. You don't need to provide the clip yourself unless you really don't trust my skills with Audacity, just give me the start and end time. I hope this small bit of extra information will not be too laborious for you all to provide.

  • The Actual Republic of Bellamia are banned from entering. Think I'm joking? Think again. I am really

That aside, business as usual.

I still don't have an entry so my self-hype is LIMITED thus far. I feel the need to find another top 10 so we can finally check 'back to back top 10s' off our BJSC to-do list.

"The Actual Republic of Bellamia are banned from entering" you bitch x

I'd had a bit of a CRISIS prior to this week where I couldn't decide on my entry at all but I've absolutely settled this week on a fantastic pop song (yes, back to pure pop for me).

Got a LUSH tune lined up. Non-English artists singing songs in English is my niche already it seems.

PERSEVENTYFIVE HYPE. *.*

I still have no idea what to send. :o I have a feeling Danaelanda are gonna get their first DNQ of the year this contest (usually it doesn't take until May for that to happen so it's been very good going so far)
Already have an entry ready for the first time in...probably forever. It's been a potential since 'Circles' and I seem to do well with the ones I debate over most so let's see what happens.
have a gorgeous entry BUT may have to skip the contest as I have a holiday from May 3 - 11, which I suspect is semi week. I haven't missed a contest since I joined! :o
I have one song but it's so un-BJSC that it'd probably only get points from a couple of countries, then again I might just send it for the 'send what you love let's have some variety' movement. My ball from the previous contest can be used again Bre!
I have an entry, I think it's a bit different for me :cheer:
Songs with vocals haven't worked that well for me thus far this year (quite literally as they've been my only two DNQs!) so it's back to instrumentals with my next entry :magic: It's a bit risky and it won't be a particularly big hit (not a certain qualifier by any means), but I think it's pretty irresistibly catchy and I hope a few of you think the same~

I would appreciate some feedback, drop me a PM if you like ;)
I have nothing :snif: Kylienips are thinking of withdrawing after finishing in the semis 3 times on a trot :(
