The last time we did this was early 2016, so we have a couple of new additions and I'm going to add Tom's Diner into the mix. The results of the last rate pulled out a couple of surprises (Everytime finishing 2nd and AHEAD of Baby for example) Will the results from 2020 throw up any surprises? The list of songs: xx.x Baby One More Time xx.x Sometimes xx.x (You Drive Me) Crazy xx.x Born To Make You Happy xx.x From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart xx.x Oops I Did It Again xx.x Lucky xx.x Stronger xx.x Don't Let Me The Last To Know xx.x I'm A Slave 4 U xx.x Overprotected xx.x I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman xx.x I Love Rock And Roll xx.x Boys (feat. Pharrell Williams) xx.x Anticipating xx.x Me Against The Music (feat. Madonna) xx.x Toxic xx.x Everytime xx.x Outrageous xx.x My Prerogative xx.x Do Somethin' xx.x Gimme More xx.x Piece Of Me xx.x Break The Ice xx.x Womanizer xx.x Circus xx.x If U Seek Amy xx.x Radar xx.x 3 xx.x Hold It Against Me xx.x Til' The World Ends xx.x I Wanna Go xx.x Criminal xx.x Work Bitch xx.x Perfume xx.x Make Me (feat. G-Eazy) xx.x Slumber Party (feat. Tinashe) xx.x Someday (I Will Understand) xx.x S&M (Remix) [feat. Rihanna] xx.x Scream & Shout (feat. Will I Am) xx.x Ooh La La xx.x Pretty Girls (feat. Iggy Azalea) xx.x Tom's Diner (Giorgio Moroder feat. Britney Spears) |

Just realised this is Make Me & Slumber Party's first introduction to the singles rate!
How do we think they will they fare? |

Britney's singles discography is one of the best in pop, I imagine there will be some upset fairly early on due to the vast amount of good songs!
I'm guessing 'Criminal' and 'Perfume' will rate low, hoping they can escape the bottom 5 at least. 'Baby' is my very favourite but 'Toxic' and 'Gimme More' were deserving of a 11/10 too so would be happy with wins for them too. |

41 - 43
43. (40) Ooh La La [4.07] Highest: FUTURE NOSTALGIA (10) + DionTheSats123 (09) Lowest: Jade & Vülker (-01); blacksquare & jakewild (00); (01) + SamJudd, WinterFreeze, Lukuzz, StayatHaus & Liam.k. (02) 42. (39) Pretty Girls (feat. Iggy Azalea) [4.857] Highest: George.keh (09.5); FUTURE NOSTALGIA & DionTheSats123 (09); Nick Jonas (08.5) + JosephStyles (08) Lowest: StupidLove (-01); blacksquare, Jade & jakewild (00); Scene & (01) + Vülker (03) 41. (38) I Love Rock N Roll [4.875] Highest: (09) + NickF1 & LMLou (08.5) Lowest: jakewild (00); WinterFreeze (01.5) + George.keh & Jade (02) --- Kicking us off by missing the top 40 we have the 3 songs that are usually bottom 3. The 'Smurfs 2' soundtrack single Ooh La La is in last place, again. The other two songs I Love Rock N Roll and Pretty Girls have switched positions. ILRNR fell in it's average since the last time, whereas PG actually grew! It went from 4.833 to an even average of 5! They're all cute for what they are tbh. Just not essential Britney tracks. So it turns out that George.keh voted twice. So I removed his first set of votes as they were end of last year and kept the newest rate. Sorry! The averages are different for these three! |

They were my bottom 3, so far so good. That said, 'Pretty Girls' is a bit of a guilty pleasure - the lyrics are pure cringe but there's something undeniably catchy about it.

Ooh La La will always be the last one
Pretty Girls isn't that bad guys...I actually happened to like it more since I saw Britney live in Vegas...it was a fun moment!!! |

That is... absolutely the correct bottom 3, well done BuzzJack although I would swap 'Pretty Girls' and 'I Love Rock N Roll' around. 'Ooh La La' is awful but I understand that I'm not its target audience. I actually liked 'Pretty Girls' when it first came out but nowadays it's complete trash for me oops. 'I Love Rock N Roll' was... not a vintage cover at least Britney redeemed herself with 'My Prerogative', she really made that one her own

I was too late to vote but all three of those are amongst her worst for me so this has started off well.
My next one to go would probably be Make Me... but I think that will stay for a little bit yet. |

36 - 40
40. (37) From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart [5.05] Highest: NickF1 (10); George.keh (07.5); Euphorique, WinterFreeze & Jack (07) + JosephStyles, Lukuzz & StayatHaus (06) Lowest: Tawdry Hepburn (01); jakewild (02); NickF1, LMLou & Jade (03) + Scene (03.5) 39. (34) Someday (I Will Understand) [5.37] Highest: Jonjo (09) + NickF1, JosephStyles & 🍆 (08) Lowest: jakewild (00); George.keh (02) + LMLou & Scene (03.5) 38. (35) Anticipating [5.59 *3 High Scores*] Highest: George.keh (09) + Jade & Jonjo (08) Lowest: jakewild (00); Scene (02) + ...ready for it, LM Lou & WinterFreeze (03) 37. (33) Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know [5.59 *4 High Scores*] Highest: DionTheSats123 (09) + NickF1, Lukuzz & Jay ☆ (08) Lowest: jakewild (00) + Tawdry Hepburn (02) 36. (32) Outrageous (feat. Snoop Dogg) [5.64] Highest: Nick Jonas (08.5); NickF1, LMLou, Jonjo & DionTheSats123 (08); Scene (07.5) + ...ready for it, isolAddy!, JosephStyles, Lukuzz, Cameron & Liam.k. (07) Lowest: jakewild (00); Tawdry Hepburn (02) + Euphorique (03) --- Into the top 40 we go and we have 5 tracks that aren't really strangers to the bottom 10 either (bodes well for the 3 new tracks in the rate). From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart finishes at 40, Someday (I Will Understand) takes a big tumble of 5 places down to 39, so underrated </3. Anticipating falls to #38 this time whilst Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know & Outrageous both fall 4 spaces. I can do without FTBOMBH & DLMBTLTK so they're not big losses for me. S(IWU) is so under appreciated. Gorgeous. 'Anticipating' was always an instant highlight from her self titled 3rd album and it was given a very minor WW release after 'I Love Rock N Roll'. 'Outrageous' is a bop, but it shouldn't have been a single! Plus, we have that music video to blame for her injuring her knee! BOOOOO. |

Deserved last place - vile song!
Anticipating the only one i'm sad to lose atm. Also Make Me absolutely has to slay this. It's my 11 and honestly it has been done SO DIRTY in some of the rates I saw COME ON THAT (and Slumber Party I suppose) |

'Anticipating' is my favourite from that section <3 I bumped my original score of 6 up to an 8 as it's really hit me in recent times. The accompanying album is so strong. I do quite like 'Someday (I Will Understand)' too and agree that it's underrated! I screamed when I found out that the project it was from was called 'Britney and Kevin: Chaotic' though - it's such a tender and lovely song, does NOT feel like it should be associated with the word 'Chaotic'
'From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart' + 'Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know' are both pretty dull, so no big losses there. I'm not really a fan of 'Outrageous' but I do quite like the instrumental on its own - gives me Bratz Genie Magic vibes |

Ooh La La remains amazing and underrated as ever. Pretty girls and ILRNR deserved better too, guilty pleasures
