So Robbie's comeback is kicking of next month with Bodies the single & then the new album BUT will it be a hit or miss comeback.

Personally i feel a Rudebox is heading our way the single sounds like a reject from that Rudebox album, its a similar sound so re the album i think it will be a slow seller and its fate will be decided when a 2nd single is out. I think people will not rush to buy the album and with other big releases out the weeks after, i think it will not match the dizzy heights he is used to from his previous albums before Rudebox.

Whats everyone think?????

I expect the album will do really well (at least initially and over christmas), he's not as much of a singles artist as he once was so 'Bodies' will get a high debut and drop off, and I don't imagine future singles will set the chart on fire either.

^ ditto.

Even if "Bodies" isn't amazing,I still think it'll be a hit and the album aswell just because of his name.

The album will have a good first couple of weeks but it's lacking a killer second single. I wouldn't be surprised if it dropped out of the Top 10 albums by Xmas, judging by the strength of other releases.
I think it won't be a big seller... but I do think that the first single is great and he deserved more than anyone to be big in the next 2 mounts.

Just curious here: did you have the chance to hear it? How are the other songs and why do you thing is lacking a good second single?

Apart from my oppinion on Robbie music, i think it will be massive. He is present everywhere now: papers, radio, TV, a gig soon. So, what do you want more? I don't think the other singles to be released from other artists at the same time are so much better than his. He has a huge fan-base of his own plus a lot of TT fans. I bet it will be No 1 a couple of weeks and remain in top 10 at least two months. I cannot judge how the single will do: i fail to understand what UK listeners likes. . I still think it will go in top 5 for ages and no 1 for 2 weeks. He has a great promotion for it, it is already supported from radio and TV.

Mounts?

+ x factor performance. :D

always knew robbie had a huge chance at it, until I heard that michael jackson had a new song which would prevent it from no.1 but if it's not getting released then yeah, 'bodies' is for number 1 - more chance than 'bad boys' has.

I'd be surprised of 'Bodies' gets to #1, but his fanbase should ensure the album will, especially given the XF promo.

I'm not a massive Robbie Williams fan but I really like his new single. Rudebox, the first single from his last album received mixed reviews, im comparison, most people have viewed his new songmore positively. I'd expect Bodies to be no1 or no2 on week of release (Alexandra Burke may be no1) and the album should sell fairly well in the run up to xmas.

Why do people keep going on about Michael Jackson? hasn't it been confirmed this new track will be on the album ONLY, with no single release?

Bodies for No.1!

I think Robbies album could sell less in comparsion to his other albums, the lead single is Dire and slightly boring. I expect something more from Robbie, the video could also be more original it seems like a mash up from all his other videos. Hope the Album is more adventurous than the single indicates. Possibly not the No. 1 classic album we were hoping for.

How do you know that? Have you heard it in full?

I'm a big fan and have all his albums. Rudebox was great. Not keen on Bodies still and don't think it'll make No.1.

Even though it is a bit 'meh' I think it'll get to number one easily especially given the X-Factor promotion. I think he'll only get one week though. The album will of course get to number 1 and probably stay there for at least until Leona's album comes out. I'm actually starting to like Alex's single now that I'm beginning to hear it more but I don't think she'll beat RW to the number 1 slot. As much as I dislike Rob ... I'd rather he got the number 1 just to be a dent in the armour of the ludicrously powerfull (but musically bankrupt) Simon Cowell.

I don't understand why both Alexandra and Robbie's labels released the songs so early to radio. I'm bored of both songs already.

Record labels really have to get out of this dated idea of putting a song on the radio then making us wait a month or even 6 weeks to buy it. There is no wonder people illegally download when you simply can't hear a song you like anywhere legally except the odd play on radio for weeks.

The response towards Bodies is more positive than Rudebox and if he does an X-Factor performance, Bodies should easily be Top 2.

As for the album, I think it'll at least exceed the sales of his last one.

But that doesn't matter nowadays, of course - if enough people download an album track, it can go to #1 anyway.

The album will be huge over Christmas - He has been away for a while and there seems to be a real buzz around his return.

People should not underestimate the power of Rob - He is a solid and consistant album seller:
