Any person that partook in at least one contest throughout the whole period of XI-XX may participate in the nominations as far as i get it :unsure:

Oh, and the nomination system may or may not change this year, given the vast amount of quality in each contest now...

We can have a 3rd semi, seeing as you can vote in whatever semi you want, but i don't think we can increase the final size. we had 30 last year with 10 winners and 10 from each semi.

So while i have to nominate from every contest again, like last time. Tom[Numayania] only has to nominate from his XIV debut onwards and if he wants can nominate in XI, XII and XIII.

 

Thats how it was done last year, dunno if Tyron is changing that specific part this year or not.

 

I think people should still be able to nominate in contests they weren't in if they wish. We should still have recaps for every contest (which wasn't the case at first last year) so people could nominate on the basis of those.

Yeah, compulsory for all contests you were in, and optional (but very much encouraged!) for ones you weren't in ^_^

I think "One Love" is supposed to be subtle, the music behind it is about as chilled as a dance anthem gets, Estelle suits it. :wub: That was also my reasoning for sending "When Love Takes Over" too, I preferred that edit and it wasn't as cheap to me.

 

It turns out that you did give half of them points. :o More than I thought, I think I've only given two of yours points (three overall) and so I'm allowing myself to rate yours back as I'm unlikely to rate them high enough for points in the Best Of contests if they didn't get much in the normal ones. :lol:

 

Jungle Drum - slightly unexpected greatness, was really catchy on first listen, shorty and punchy.

Robots In Love - didn't give it anything at the time, but it's so cute.

Boys & Girls - this was better than the current version of it, it's a bit of fun, got a point.

Watch The Sun Come Up - came close to points, was like a slightly inferior version of the Utopia entry of the same contest.

Kongulo - was nice and subtle, possibly a bit of a late grower.

I'm Going For Your Brother - same as Kongulo really, was subtle but quite decent.

Not A Love Song - not bad but, like Pavel, can't remember how this goes at all.

Music Everywhere - generic tat, didn't think much of it at all.

M.A.G.I.C. - would actually be good without the hideous chanting.

oh well, at least you seemed to like 6 or 7 to some extent, more than I thought...and LOL at all of these Uh Huh Her comments...this is why I maintain that it was the most shocking winner to date! all of the other winners bar this one have a huge catchy hook, this one is so so subtle, which is why I fully expected it to flop in the final! a lot of people were late to the party with Robots In Love...I would be sad but it won anyway so that's fine :heehee:

Totally agree about Ellie! One of my favourite songs to be entered actually! :o! :wub:!

I think you get deducted 15 or so points for the sake of fairness (i.e. just to level things out, as we appreciate some people just don't take part anymore etc.)

01. The Girl and the Robot - I'll never top this.

02. Once I Was Like You - ;o Yay for sending something COMPLETELY unknown and doing fairly well.

03. Shark in the Water - <3333

04. Mysterious - Another rather unknown entry. She may come back for me, Mysterious is loff.

05. Every Little Earthquake / Earthquake - Little Boots's best song probably. Yayzz.

06. Dolla / Tik Tok - I still love this even if it is trashy. ;( So catchy.

07. Three Little Words - I hate Frankmusik. But this is still amaze.

08. I Will Be Here - You bitches.

09. So Human - Amazeee but cheap. Should have looked for something else.

10. Daisy Dares You - Ehhh tis very catchy, but I think I could have found something way better if I tried. Still good though.

well I can only shudder to think what you think of the first few from the XI-XX era :lol: although you're not usually one to hold back your opinion about the vile Mira and Pixie and the horrible Stadt :heehee:

 

as for Ellie, she certainly made it her own, but I didn't like her vocal arrangement at all, it was needlessly quirky
