September 27, 200917 yr 32 (from 35) Jay-Z feat. Mr. Hudson - Young Forever [D] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/JAYZBLUEPRINT.JPG Chart Run: 35-32 [2 wks] Format: download only track Considered one of the best lyricists to emerge in the wake of the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac's deaths, Jay-Z has since carried the flag of hip-hop narrative skill. His Roc-A-Fella family had already created a solid reputation based on Jay-Z's 1997 debut. As his fame has grown, so has his tendency to bring more R&B production elements into his work, creating a club-friendly, danceable version of east coast gangsta hip-hop that hasn't diminished his reputation as a preeminent force in rap. Perhaps even more importantly, Jay-Z has become a powerful music impresario. In his role as president/CEO of Def Jam in the early 2000s, he fostered the careers of popular R&B singers Rihanna and Ne-Yo, and enjoyed a high profile as a co-owner of the New Jersey Nets basketball team. His long relationship and eventual marriage to superstar Beyonce has further endeared him to fans - HMV Video here: VTdFqNrwgEU Chart history (Year peak title): Jay-Z 1997 30 Can't Knock The Hustle (Jay-Z Feat. September 27, 200917 yr I really don't get why so many of these artists feel the need to do countless amounts of tacky covers like this...
September 27, 200917 yr Love this, although it is basically an 80s cover that Jay shouts all over. See the new Dizzee Rascal single up later :puke2: They should reform Sugababes and make Sugababes v.4 change their name to Amelle Heidi & Jade. AHJ? HAJ? No, JAH! :smoke:
