October 5, 200915 yr La Roux are very good at producing songs which I love, regardless of a poor vocal. I dislike Elly's attitude, but I think she is at least doing a bit of self promo. Little Boots is too bland for my taste, even if she is harmless and her music is decent. Both albums are nice editions to my collection. I had to say La Roux.

She might be this decades answer to early 1990s popstar Cathy Dennis (a bland popstar, with a solid but unspectacular voice with very good tunes), but at least she does not shoot her mouth off like an attention seeking brat slagging off ALL urban music, and praising the music of convicted paedophile Gary Glitter.

Yes, because first album she released a very patchy debut effort, got overhyped in the media and slagged everyone off = Hated. Second album = released a great sophomore effort, which got much less hype but much greater sales and stopped slagging people off = Liked. Hardly rocket science is it.
October 5, 200915 yr Her first album is miles and miles better than her sophomore effort. Ah well. I still prefer her debut too, although it links to some great memories of the amazing summer 2006 for me :wub: love the second album too, but it feels a bit overproduced at times
October 8, 200915 yr No competition at all. La Roux by far. Little Boots is way overbummed on BJ. La Roux has a whole album has a whole album of good songs, Little Boots only has about 2 or 3 good songs. I thought the rest of her album was pretty $h!te tbh.
October 11, 200915 yr Boots by miles - La Roux's album is patchy to say the least sadly and she seems to slag everyone to high heaven to get attention <_> Hands is a superb album with some great tracks.
October 11, 200915 yr When Oasis would criticise other groups back in the 90s they'd get kudos etc. for giving their views. As soon as a female popstar does it she earns the wrath of the world seemingly... Like they're any way comparable. Oasis had two albums that sold millions in their home country, had had multiple huge selling singles and were pretty huge worldwide, one of the biggest bands in the world. The vast majority of people that they slagged off were worse and less successful acts. La Roux has had two decent selling singles in one country and is going on like she was one of the worlds biggest acts of the moment when infact compared to some of the people she's slagged off, she's a nobody...
