Lloyd... is just.... hopeless. Naff karaoke - it's a joke he's still in the contest. And Katy Perry for rock week? Laughable...

Joe - excellent as usual.

John and Edward - out of tune, missed dance moves and lines of the song - again, a total embarrassment. And they looked like something out of Green Day meets the Munsters.

Lucie - excellent, not as fantastic as last week - but near. I have a feeling she may be bottom 2 this week, though, for some bizarre reason.

Danyl - flat, tuneless, and the whole 'poor me' routine was pathetic - this guy's so far up his own ass there's no way negative publicity would affect him.

Olly - best performance yet... his hair looked like a terrible wig, though, what happened there?

Stacey - Keane? Rock????? Oh please.... never in a million years. She did ok on the big notes but the lower ones were off.

Jamie - Dannii thought 'Rocks' was an ancient old rock song...err, love... it was Primal Scream, mid-90s... led by Bobby Gillespie - who's sang with your sister. Dozy cow. Great performance.

Rachel - well, after her incredible performance tonight - I think she truly deserves to go all the way now - jaw-droppingly superb - a winning performance, surely. Easily the finest singer in the competition this year - far better than last year's winner, in fact. 10/10

Olly - Come Together 7.0

A very consistent version of the Beatles Abbey Road classic. However knowing how much Paul McCartney despises Simon Cowell & what Yoko Ono said John Lennon would likely think about Simon Cowell if he was alive today, I expect that was nearer the Aerosmith of Wacko Jacko cover versions. Curse you Michael Jackson for buying the Lennon/McCartney publishing.

ABSOLUTELY - Paul McCartney would LOATHE one of his songs being performed on a Simon Cowell show.

My dad thinks Rachel is going to win. :)

It would be amazing if she did tbh, even though she's not my fav (but very close), it would be such a turnaround.

Rachel, Olly & Stacey were standouts for me. Jamie was good and Lloyd was better this week. J&E :puke2: performance was good, that i do give them though. Danyl was terrible from the start. Mostly shouting it but got better during the end. Finally Lucie, well she's just another Leona meets Diana IMO. It was ok enough but at times it sounded like she had hiccups . =(My opinion).

Pretty much a disappointment of a Rock show :(

Tonights Standings -

01. Rachel

02. Joe

03. Lucie

04. Olly

05. Stacey

06. Jamie

07. Danyl

08. John and Edward

09. Lloyd

Joseph – 6 – Good song choice; it’s forever yo-yoing around the bottom of the top200. Love his voice.

Lucie – 2 – For me, it didn’t work, she butchered a decent Guns N Roses track.

Danyl – 4 – Seemed to struggle a bit, but then it’s hardly surprising with all the haters on his case.

Lloyd – 4 – Worked surprisingly well. People are delusional if they think he’s going home anytime soon.

Stacey – 2 – It dawned on me during this dull lifeless performance: what a boring voice she has.

Jamie – 4 – Pretty formulaic; I was expecting him to push the boat out this week, not over analysing the pub singer debate.

Rachel – 3 – A solid performance of ‘One’, pretty standard reality music talent show fodder.

John & Edward – 5 – Loving the Halloween tie-in, and it was the most watchable performance of the evening.

Olly – 5 – Nice ending to a competent performance.

Overall a very flat week; they should can Rock week.

Just watched albeit with a delay, will comment properly tomorrow but OMFG at Lucie :o :o

Never thought she had it in her but that was stupendous, winner of this series without a doubt

Lloyd :/ if he is topping the voting for real god help us :/

I swear - I actually just crapped myself. My heart, 5/10 minutes later, has still not recovered. HOW DID I NOT SEE THAT COMING?!

LOL dont worry you're not alone :( Cant believe I fell for it either without even thinking it was in any way suspicious!

Rock Week? Well that was always going to end badly... It was a blatant cop-out abuse of Simon Cowell using his power to put forward his own act Jamie Archer, who other than performing rock-anthems in an over-cocky manor really doesn't have much talent. Nearly every act struggled this week and ironically even Jamie did, and this week was pretty much created purely for him. The highlights of this weeks performances I have to say would be: Rachel, Olly and Stacey.

I think it's a shame Miss Frank went last week as John and Edward so clearly have ran dry and as the last of the groups I feel sorry for Louis as he put too much effort into keeping 1 act alive that he neglected his others who actually had potential. The twins really showed that they're weak this week as before they hid bad vocals with "funny" performances but this week their performance was neither funny nor did it hide their vocals. I think their voices have finally started to break though, throughout their performance one of the twins voices broke in places.

First time I've watched any of the live shows (apart from Cheryl's performance) and I've got to say, I was actually quite impressed with some of the performances! Some not so much though... :heehee:

01 Olly

02 Lucie

03 Stacey

04 Rachel

05 Joe

06 Jamie

07 John & Edward

08 Lloyd

09 Danyl

Rachel, Lucie, Olly and Danyl were my standouts tonight. Lloyd needs to be kicked outt he show...his voice is soo crap!I actully prefer Jedward over him.

Jamie wasn't that good. I still love it when he sang 'Hurt'. Olly is definetly the dark horse. He seems very versatile.

Can't wait to se JLS tomorrow.

Oh Jamie. Cringe.

Friedman should not choreograph Rock week performances.

Why is Danyl hated for his over confidence but Jamie let off?!

Because although Jamie is very cocky and over confident, he does it in a less obvious way which isn't so irritating and although I'm not his biggest fan, but when he's good, he is good. Whereas Danyl, BLAND! Sorry but that's just my opinion obvz :heehee:

01. Rachel - Definitely the best, she was one of the two who were leagues ahead tonight, it felt the most real performance of the night. Simon was wrong about it only getting good in the last third, it was strong throughout.

02. Stacey - Fantastic performance again, kinda prefer it when she stands still as I don't think she's quite mastered the technique of singing greatly while walking.

03. Lucie - It was really bugging me with who she reminded me of, vocally, tonight. I think maybe it was Diana Vickers? (but probably not) I thought it was an entertaining performance, but she didn't sound as comfortable on this track as the judges said she did.

04. Olly - Really love Olly, hope he continues to progress like this, was great tonight. His shirt ripping let it down for me though, that chest brought up images of a shirtless Austin Powers. :puke2:

05. Joe - Wasn't paying much attention to this, but what I caught was good and it's not hard to rank above the other four tonight. For a song that lurks around so much, I don't think I'd ever heard it.

06. Danyl - Really wasn't up to his usual standard, his confidence really has been knocked. If Simon thought Rachel only got good in her last third, then Danyl only got good in the last quarter. He really can't win, he was "cocky" before and now he's "lost it". Compared to Jamie, Danyl was shy and retiring. I'm really starting to like him though, he reminds me of a cross between Daniel Merriweather and Will Young when he sings and talks. (though him and Will both come from my around my area, so it's no surprise)

07. Lloyd - LOL! Better than usual in places, but still awful. Don't think a straight boy singing this works, changed lyric or not. It's a bit like "umm...you're straight, you're meant to like kissing girls?".

08. Jamie - Awful, hideous, man. I actually hate watching him sing and talk, he makes me think of embarrassing Dads. Louis is so right about it being nothing unique, plenty of men can do impressions of a rock star. Something seems weird about him and he looks ridiculous with eye make-up on. Did I mention he's arrogant? Cheryl was spot on about 'Rock Week' magically appearing when Simon has a 'rock' act.

09. John & Edward - Again, they get a late performance. Simon loves them, he knows what gets the viewers. I think it's a bit ridiculous though, they always get these over the top performances to disguise how absolutely terrible they are. (being late on their lines, mumbling, generally not being able to sing etc.) What would really make them crumble is a stripped back ballad with just them two on stage singing.

Overall a decent week, but very patchy. Xtra Factor was good, if only for Simon's bitchy comment to Heidi from the Sugababes. She'd phoned in while Holly was talking to the judges and she was saying how she loved Olly and Rachel and that she'd liked Danyl before, but he wasn't as good this week. Then Simon spoke to her and said something like "So, how are you all getting on? I've heard there have been a few problems lately" followed by Louis blurting "actually Rachel would be a good member ofthe Sugababes". Cheryl had to tell them off.

Joss Stone was on too, ugh, how awful. I like her music, but I do not like her. She seemed very "why am I here with these peasants", frequently reminding us how she hadn't been watching the show as if she were above it. Not above appearing on the spin off show though are you love?

Just catching up on ITV2 now. So here are my (late) rates:

01: Joe McElderry 'Don't Stop Believing'

AMAZING! My favourite performance of his to date. He's alot more versatile than I originally thought :o

9

--------------------------------

02: Lucie Jones 'Sweet Child Of Mine'

WOW! Pleasently surprised :o I honestly thought she'd crumble this week but this was brilliant!

8.5

--------------------------------

03: Danyl Johnson 'I Don't Want To Miss a Thing'

My mums favourite ever song, but I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't like it anymore! What on Earth was that? I also agree with Cremey about the "I was bottom 2 feel sorry for me" act he's doing - Someone give the guy a Razzie! Vile! Flat as ANYTHING! Simon really doesn't help him either by overrating him even more!

1

--------------------------------

04: Lloyd Daniels 'I Kissed a Girl'

My least favourite X-Factor contestant (probably ever). Tonight just further proved why! :puke: I thought DANYL was flat  Oh DEAR! :manson: Also, is it just me, but week after week his performances seem twice as long as the other contestants? At least John and Edward have the entertaining factor to them, whereas him? Nothing.

0.5

--------------------------------

05: Stacey Solomon 'Somewhere Only We Know'

Perfect song for her. She's had the most inspiring choices of any contestant this year, and most/all the time it's pulled off. This week is no different. Beautiful. But something uptempo next week please thanks :) Simon is trying to put her down because he knows she's the real contender to his beloved Danyl and Jamie!

9

--------------------------------

06: Jamie Archer 'Rocks'

His stance annoys me LOL. It's alright. Nothing more, nothing less. Disappointed though, as this was definately meant to be "his night". However he is completely average. His score gets marked down too, for being too cocky/over confident this week! He needs to be bottom two with Danyl tomorrow. His confidence needs a bit of a knock.

4

--------------------------------

07: Rachel Adedeji 'One'

Brilliant song choice! Also I know I'm in the minority, but I really, really preferred her look in the first 2 shows to this "new" look :( She nailed it too! She's definately the dark horse now that Olly and Joe can't really be classed as them as they are now the favourites to win.

9

--------------------------------

08: John & Edward 'We Will Rock You'

This is the act I most feel sorry for. Hearing all them boos and then knowing they have to perform to that very crowd? Yes they're bad singers, but at least they're entertaining unlike a few peoplein this contest who don't have either. Messed up the lyrics really bad, but I like how they tried to carry on. I actually am enjoying this though LOL. Their best to date imo.

4

--------------------------------

09: Olly Murs 'Come Together'

WAIT! OLLY IS LAST OF THE OVERS?! He looks like Will Young tonight! What a boring song! But he pulled it off very, very well. Although Rachel is now the new dark horse, I am always surprised by his performances despite me being a fan!

MY RANK:

01: Rachel

02: Joe

03: Stacey

04: Olly

05: Lucie

----------------------------

06: Jamie

07: John & Edward

----------------------------

08: Danyl

09: Lloyd

The top 5 would actually be in any order I loved them all so much :o

I agree with Aaron on Xtra Factor and Joss! I swear she gets worse and worse with every TV stint she does

Lucie 9/10 - Really impressed with her last night, I had her pigeon holed as a ballad/lounge singer but she went really made the song her own last night, she is no Tina Turner, Patti Smith, Pat Benetar, Grace Slick or Melissa Ethridge but she has shown now she can handle any tune, needs a personality transplant though

Danyl - 1/10 - Horrendous, real car crash tv, destroyed a great song to make it bland and out of tune, he has to go this week after that

Jamie - 7/10 - Singing wasn't great but he put on a good show given the week was created for him

John and Edward - 3/10 - Dire singing as ever but they made a show of it

Olly - 8/10 - Realy starting to think he could be a serious contender, a likeable guy without being cocky, versatile as he has shown yet again, really warming to him

Lloyd - 1/10 - WTF was that ? people compare him with Eoghan but Eoghan is a better singer

Rachel - 8.5/10 - wow wasn't expcting that, her confidence has really grown since last week and it is showing in her singing, excellent performance

Joe - 8.5/10 - This guy really impresses me and he did yet again last night, definitely been the most consistent performer this series, can sing well anything that is thrown at him

Stacey - 8/10 - Yet again another good consistent performance, didn't set the world alight but she is one of my faves this series
