November 3, 200915 yr Author I don't think I need to say anything for Remedy - although have you heard the Wideboys Stadium Radio Edit and the Buffetlibre vs. Sidechains remixes? :o Both make the chorus epic oomphage. Oh, and the above are all amazing  Even if I do hate myself slightly for liking that DeRulo thing :( 'Remedy' is the one Little Boots song I don't actually have any remixes for, I shall have to download some! :drama:
November 3, 200915 yr :o indeed! You should be flattered, I have sought out your end of year from afar! :D I have no idea what's happened, I guess one or the other stopped paying. I'm getting close to being past caring tbh. :(
November 3, 200915 yr Liking some of these (and haven't heard a lot) but I'm surprised to see Christina Aguilera, especially with "Dirrty". :o I'm not so much a fan of that one, but I guess it being different to her normal output is why you like it. I'm currently thinking of doing one of these, but it'd be quite the opposite to yours, getting more poppy and mainstream as it goes along. It also runs risk of becoming a Beverley Knight/Estelle/Brandy love in.
November 3, 200915 yr Dandy :D I'm hoping some of the others come over here too, it really is a lot lot more interesting than CHC these days
November 3, 200915 yr Author I like more than these, but i LOVE the following: All of the above are the artist's best songs to me too, and Neon Bible singles are perhaps just as good as the the singles from the overrated (i think, not heard any of their albums in full) Funeral. What an amazing group there! ^ :o True, but it's kinda frustrating how we all celebrate each millennium/decade etc. one year early each time, the first year A.D. was 1, not 0 -_- Thanks Harve! 'Teenage Dirtbag' was epic when I was 12, I loved it back than and it's still good now, for what it is... I agree the singles off 'Neon Bible' weren't really any worse than the ones off 'Funeral' really, they're all pretty equal, bar 'Rebellion'...
November 3, 200915 yr Author As soon as it turns 2010 (12am on Jan 1st) then 2010 years AD have passed. We are IN the 2010th year. 0 to 1 AD was the first year not the zero-th year. I thought we went 1BC to 1AD?

November 3, 200915 yr I'm honoured! :D I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did to be honest, my posting there had become increasingly sporadic to the point I probably wouldn't care anyway... Yeah, I think I was struggling to get more than 20 posts a week. :| Anyhow, too much talk about that. Not enough talk about how criminally low you have placed Hope There's Someone. Also, your favourite Bloc Party single is pretty much my least favourite of theirs. I began compiling mine the other night when you first posted yours, I'm down to about 340 songs and now am struggling to cut them down. :(
November 3, 200915 yr Good to see Munich in there so far - I have revisited the Editors of late as their new (=disappointing) material is out. Relatively surprised to see you liking Rihanna - I do agree that PDSTM is one her bast tracks though.
November 3, 200915 yr I thought we went 1BC to 1AD? Oh right, I dunno then  I'll just continue on as normal.
November 3, 200915 yr As soon as it turns 2010 (12am on Jan 1st) then 2010 years AD have passed. We are IN the 2010th year. 0 to 1 AD was the first year not the zero-th year. There wasn't a year 0!! We went from 1 BC to 1 AD. Therefore Mark is right. ^_^ Anyway these went Top 10 on my chart and are all therefore likely to feature in my chart of the decade, the ones in bold were #1s on my chart. 199 Tilly & The Wall 'Beat Control' 197 VV Brown 'Crying Blood' 196 Arcade Fire 'Keep The Car Running' 195 Patrick Wolf 'The Magic Position' :D Love it, just so happy and it went to #69 (tee hee) on the official chart - "Bluebells" is my favourite of his this decade though, and could conceivably be in my Top 10 of the decade! 189 The Long Blondes 'Giddy Stratospheres' 188 Supergrass 'Kiss of Life 187 Ian Brown 'F.E.A.R.' 186 Lostprophets 'Last Summer' 185 Underworld 'Two Months Off' 184 Foo Fighters 'Times Like These' 183 Thom Yorke 'Harrowdown Hill' 182 Red Hot Chili Peppers 'Can't Stop' 180 Graham Coxon 'Freakin' Out' 178 Outkast 'Ms Jackson' 177 Christina Aguilera 'Dirrty' 175 Babyshambles 'Killamangiro' 172 Liam Frost & The Slowdown Family 'The Mourners of St. Pauls' 170 Kasabian 'Club Foot' 169 MGMT 'Time to Pretend' 168 The Pains of Being Pure at Heart 'Higher Than The Stars' :D 4 weeks as my number 1 so far, brilliant new band! 167 The Raconteurs 'Steady, As She Goes' 165 Editors 'Munich' 164 Amy Winehouse 'You Know I'm No Good' 161 Razorlight 'Golden Touch' 159 Little Boots 'Remedy' 158 Rihanna 'Don't Stop The Music' 157 Bloc Party 'I Still Remember' 156 Late of the Pier 'Heartbeat' Solid choices so far, there are none that I don't like - loads that I regret not charting higher though... :(
November 4, 200915 yr 200 The Prodigy 'Omen' 198 Train 'Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)' One of my all time favourite songs! 195 Patrick Wolf 'The Magic Position 193 Timbaland ft D.O.E. & Keri Hilson 'The Way I Are' See Train. 192 Kanye West 'Jesus Walks' 191 Girls Aloud 'No Good Advice' 186 Lostprophets 'Last Summer' 184 Foo Fighters 'Times Like These' 178 Outkast 'Ms Jackson' 177 Christina Aguilera 'Dirrty' 173 Britney Spears 'Piece of Me' 164 Amy Winehouse 'You Know I'm No Good' 159 Little Boots 'Remedy' 158 Rihanna 'Don't Stop The Music' 155 Dizzee Rascal 'Bonkers' Surprisingly decent in a few places :o I was expecting to like alot less so far. But there are quite a few I deleted that I haven't heard yet! LOL

Oh you definitely should do one. Even if it it does contain a lot of artists a lot, I don't see that it matters. I'm not disappointed that one act have got four entries in my top 40.... If they've made three of your favourite 10 songs of the decade, then you shouldn't feel that you shouldn't make it a "love in".

Before I posted the Indie/Rock Rate I think I went a week without going on, I didn't even notice or think about it to be honest. 'Hope There's Someone' is gorgeous, I just never quite got into Antony like a lot of people did. I really love 'I Still Remember', it took a while to grow and didn't have a particularly good chart run in my personal chart, but it's something that's constantly got better for me since its release. I did have that trouble. I listed 677 songs to start with, getting down to 300 was OK but after that it was really hard. Then putting them into an order, nightmare!
November 4, 200915 yr Author Good to see Munich in there so far - I have revisited the Editors of late as their new (=disappointing) material is out. Relatively surprised to see you liking Rihanna - I do agree that PDSTM is one her bast tracks though. Thanks, I really like the new Editors album to be honest, I'm not disappointed in it at all. I do prefer their debut though, and 'Munich' and 'Fall' remain my favourite songs of theirs. Rihanna was someone who came on so much. Her first two albums were pretty dreadful (bar 'SOS') but I liked all of the singles she released off her recent one at least...

November 4, 200915 yr Indie/Rock Rate You going to do this here? Suppose there wouldn't be any auto-qualifiers though.
November 4, 200915 yr Author http://bigpondmusic.com/images/AlbumCoverArt/76/XXL/Use-Somebody.jpg 150 Malcolm Middleton 'Fuck It, I Love You' 149 Kings of Leon 'Use Somebody' 148 Glasvegas 'Daddy's Gone' 147 LCD Soundsystem 'Someone Great' 146 Pendulum 'Slam' 145 Jane's Addiction 'Just Because' 144 Regina Spektor 'Fidelity' 143 Amerie 'One Thing' 142 Blink-182 'I Miss You' 141 Sleater-Kinney 'Entertain' Another very mixed bunch here. Kings of Leon make their first appearence with 'Use Somebody', a song which I've never become even slightly tired of (unlike 'Sex on Fire'), LCD Soundsystem make their first appearence too, both of their entries come at over 6 minutes long. The first of the two instrumentals appear, 'Slam' by Pendulum. I know there are voices in the song, but I still count it as an instrumental. Amerie is perhaps a surprising choice, but I've always loved 'One Thing' and finished high in my End of Year chart of '05. Jane's Addiction are a band I've never been able to get into really, with comeback single 'Just Because' being the only thing I've ever really like. I've gone off Glasvegas a bit this year but I still think 'Daddy's Gone' is great, and Regina is lovely. Surprisingly, 'I Miss You' (utterly gorgeous) is not the only song in here from Blink-182, something that will be a pleasant surprise to some here. The two most unknown here are from Malcolm Middleton and Sleater-Kinney, both are which are incredibly different (acoustic Scot, US female rock). 'Fuck It, I Love You' is a divine on/off love song, and 'Entertain' is something I discovered after picking up a fairly cheap compilation. MbxRu7fwR24 mxbHXhqNVG4
