Anyway I really don't understand Universal UK. Why on earth did they cancel Obsessed? It could have been at least a Top 10 hit in the UK!

The original Foreigner version is the best. Mariah's version is not a patch on it.

With the cancellation of the release of 'Obsessed', she obviously has lost a lot of momentum (in an unfortunate way) IMO...

It will sadly scrape in top 40 due to the exposure from Xfactor surely not top10 it flopped in America & Americans love her so whats that say? She does not appeal anymore in uk, her music is same old stuff style covers, ballads and very little else changes

I think this song was meant to be sung by a woman so i prefer mariahs to the original.

i think top 10. Alot of people won't know/remember the orginal and like the song, in all fairness a pretty good version tbh! although that is all she is known for here in the UK! (bar AIWFC) all her big selling songs have been covers!

The original is incredible.this is..meh.

But we have to take in to consideration it'll be on X Factor.

Without it would 100% be a flop, shes not wanted now in music.

With the X-Factor promo and her 'name', i doubt it will completely flop. I'd have thought Top 10 is possible.

Well her voice is pretty much gone isn't it? Isn't that why she only releases RnB lite tracks that aren't particularly vocally demanding, more whispering than anything? Touch My Body?

Well I just saw Mariah's version live on the The View (from October).... It was GODLIKE! I didnt know she could sing like that any more and it was definitely live! If she performs like this at the xf then she will climb top5 for sure. Perhaps we underestimate her here...
