For all his thoughts, Leon was DROP DEAD GORGEOUS.

Shame he didn't have the voice to match...

Susan Boyle = (unfortunately) the greatest vindication of Simon Cowell's money making Reality talent shows.

Watching that made me realise how completely rubbish in comparison this year's X-Factor acts are.

she still reminds me of an auntie at a wedding who gets shunted up to sing a tune at the night 'do', though - nothing special.

And Mariah Carey - ear-splittingly dreadful - and she's got tits like dangly spaniel's ears - horrific.

Oh right, didn't realise that! Now I come to think of it, it was absolutely ridiculous for me to believe for a second that they could get into university  Do you always get the rejects every week?

Nah, Jamie this week will be the first time, then we get J&E the week after then the next evictee the week after that. I'm seriously considering getting tickets to all 3 haha... although J&E the poor sods are clearly gonna get bottled!

Thankgoodness Jedward went FINALLY. I do miss them a slight bit now for entertainment. For that i like them a tiny bit recently. Joe or stacey to win & Mariah was amazing. Seriously i don't get most of your negatism towards Mariah, ok so a few off notes but i thought she did it very well & a great cover. She actually uses her voice well in it, well done Mariah. Susan was sensational.

Poor Jedward, aww well it was good whilst it lasted!

Llyod must go next week though!

Llyod did impress me this week as I think his vocals were a bit better, also his performance was alot more entertaining this week and I think the new look suits him.

that said I'm not sure if it's enough to make me want him to stay any longer.....it'll depend on his performance next week. I'm starting to think I want Danyl to go next week. He just has no spark at all. :(

ARE YOU KIDDING?

The adlibs and high notes were completely perfect. The live parts of that (first verse, second verse, second bridge, all adlibs) were all her best live turnout since at least 2006, perhaps earlier. It was AMAZING.

But then again you know no objectivity...

Referring to her as vile is not displaying objectivity is it? It's not like she's bad-mouthed anybody in the press, gone partying and been snapped commando or done anything at all to deserve that. Anybody with any sense can see that she's a proper laugh...

Oh, and admitting to liking Obsessed is the bare minimum in objectivity. It is the song of OH NINE after all!

Oh Jark :( Normally you're bang on, but this is all ridiculousness. I can only hope you're joking about Obsessed, UK Flop of OH NINE.

She mimed at least half of the song, which is NOT what someone who sees herself as the best female singer of all time should be doing. And the screaming at the end was PAINFUL - only dogs could hear it. She's lost it. I'd go as far to say that she was the WORST guest star they've had on this year. At least high Whitney and Robbie were entertaining in a car-crash-Jedward way.

The song itself - the production on it is HORRIBLE, it's so karaoke and on a par with the dreadful backing tracks the X Factor like to pump out.

On the subject of the X Factor itself. Thank f*** the joke has finished, but I am shocked at Olly being bottom 2. Admittedly both his song choices were pants this week. I don't know what it was, but Fastlove didn't suit him at all - it's designed for a smooth voice, not Olly's more funky/jazzy vocals.

And again POOR Dannii - I still think she's been by far the best mentor/judge this year, the only one who actually seems to be giving constructive criticisms on the singing. Simon has a total agenda this year, Louis gave up taking the show seriously years ago, and Cheryl still seems unable to move away from generic "you look adorable" comments.

But for some reason it just ISN'T working - hopefully it's translating better to TV viewers, because the audience and other judges clearly do not give a $h!t. When she IS actually allowed to make herself heard by the increasingly GOD-AWFUL audience, her comments are just being met by silence.

Unfortunately I don't think she sometimes phrases herself as she wants to - the problem is if she wants to make a point, she doesn't come right out and say it ("So Simon, should I follow your lead and play the same games you did with Lucie?"), but she speaks in semi-riddles ("Is this is a singing competition?").

And unfortunately I think that initially those comments pass over the heads of most people in that studio.

I really wouldn't be surprised if this was her last series.

I think the show has lost five million viewers now! Seriously why would anyone want watch this now? It's an entertainment show, not a talent show and anyone who takes it seriously and thinks anyone of these contestants would do anything without the X Factor then I lol at you tbh  They're so crap this year :( Then again if I had to choose someone now then Danyl ftw I suppose!

To be fair, "Obsessed" was only a UK flop because it wasn't released in it's original form until this week, months after the airplay and hype had gone. In fact it's 'flop' was based on the remix that kept being added and removed from iTunes, proving there was once demand for it.

Totally agreed, Dannii is so much better than the other judges yet she seems to be blanked and isolated by the show. They do their best to edit her out of the auditions (I swear every year it's been the case that Dannii seems quiet in the pre-recorded shows and lively in the live shows) and they're doing their best to put her aside by putting her on the end and making her speak first (when the audience are most hyped) on these live shows.

Dannii is too intelligent and classy for this show, I always understand her 'riddle' comments (another one was something like "maybe I'll give my girls rap next week") but those surrounding her clearly don't. I find it hard to watch her making these comments or jokes and it going over the heads of everyone, it almost makes me shout at the TV. (which only old people do)

completely agree - it was toe-curlingly awful, Carey's 'performance' tonight.... those high notes were just jaw-dropping - but for all the wrong reasons.... and she seriously needs a stylist, too - what kind of mirrors does she have in her dressing room that convinced her she looked ok in that ghastly frock? I think someone's having a laugh at her expense, you know. She had a body like some middle aged old slapper in a Readers Wives column of the Daily Sport.... horrific. Cover those flabby old droopies up, love :puke2:

And 'I Want To Know What Love Is' is nothing short of unforgiveable (almost as horrific a career move as duetting with Beastlife) - one of the 80s absolute worst songs made even more thoroughly unlistenable. Just....sludge.

She was laughably bad - atrocious. Fan or no fan - that performance was appalling.

And Dannii - well said tonight - I don't think her point was missed at all, far from it - hence the awkward silences from her left - I think she signed her leaving card with that comment, but the XFactor is looking seriously old and jaded this season.... it needs a massive overhaul next series for sure.

The right act left, and I'm still unsure of Olly - all this cheeky-chappy nonsense is unbearable - and quite why he's regarded as 'hot' amazes me - he's got a face the shape of a satellite dish - revolting.

The simple fact is this - there isn't a single one of the remaining acts left who has even a sliver of any type of 'x factor'. The greatest singers - Rachel and Lucie - are long gone. And well out of it, I think.

Totally. Joe and Olly are good but when they're the hot shot favourites to win the show, something's missing. Any of last year's top 5 (bar Eggnog) would have stormed this year.

This hasn't been a vintage year, and I do agree something needs to change.

Unfortunately I can quite easily see that being Cowell dumping Dannii.

Susan was FIERCE <3333333

Finally the twins are gone :dancing:

Olly - minor shock :o

Lloyd next please ;D

What a travesty that the Twins went. Olly should have gone. Jedward's performance in the sing-off was outstanding. Whoever wins they're the real winners and tipped to earn more than the eventual winner even.

I can only see the person going next week being either Danyl or Lloyd, most likely Llyod. Olly will definitely get the rebound vote and I'd say Stacy and Joe will do well next week as they seem to be the publics faves now (being the only two not in the bottom)

I think Lloyd's time is definitely up now..........but if he gets a super teen vote we could be saying goodbye to Danyl either. Danyl is in danger of being forgotten aswell I think....

Nobody who's been in the bottom two has ever won before, and I feel this year it's not going to be any different.

Are you sure about that? I'm sure Leona was once in one (between her and another girl singer - mid way through the live finals). I could be wrong.

Either way ... I now think Olly has this in the bag (undeserved I know - nice guy average performer - but I think he'll do it). I'm starting to smell a rat as to Simon / Danyl as well. I don't like Danyl but I get the feeling that he's been set up as a 'bad boy' decoy so Simon's true golden boy will win it ... Olly.

Either way ... now that the twins are out ... I can clear my diary for Sunday nights (I only ever watched the Jedward bits on a Saturday as well). I just think everyone this year is average - Stacey is much better than the rest but I doubt she'll win.

Erm WHA?

It was appalling - they can't sing and this time they didn't even have a circus going to distract the viewer - their AWFUL singing had never been more evident!

Who would buy his records though ? he would be as bigger flop as Steve Brookstein as Olly would have to do an album of cover versions of 60's to 80's songs as he has not shown at all in this series he can sing modern day stuff

He is getting the housewife vote and the granny who thinks he is cute vote and the dad who was bought up in the 60's and 70's vote but would they buy albums and singles ?

Even if he wins X Factor he would bomb after 1 mother's day album

...

Awful dance routines ("if you can't sing - you most likely are abl;e to dance" phrase is absolutely INVALID FOR THEM because they do both things equally HORRIFIC), more awful vocals every week. Entertainment gets boring. Like everything actually (but that's another story)...

I predict the TWINBOOM next year on X-Factor
