Daisy Dares You is on the BBC Sound of 2010 which is promising, and with Chipmunk featuring on her debut single, it's bound to be epic. Thought I'd post it here - as I'm like a mahoosive fan of her, and she will be big, I'm sure..

It's set for release on February 22nd!

I like this. :) Looking forward to the version with Chipmunk, it should be really good. :)

Sounds fresh and fun, but not overly original. Perfect for a Spring release, so I won't be surprised if it is pushed back.

Who is her A&R? If handled well, she will be huge.

While this is OK, it sounds so cheap. She's definitely going to be marketed towards the teenie-bopping market. A 12 year olds alternative to Florence & the Machine, Duffy, Ellie Goudling, Adele etc... not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just not my cup of tea.

I do agree with you, but in the light of Pixie Lott's success, it could work.

It could definitely work. They will need to decide which market she is after - kids and tweens, or teens and young adults. There doesn't really seem to be any direction at the moment. That only sells records if an artist has incredibly catchy and commercial songs (e.g. Ke$ha). I think she will be the equivalent of the girl from N-Dubz if she went solo.

I don't think she will have the success of Pixie, though, if Mercury keep that campaign up all year.

OMFG I  this choon its on repeat evrywr i go... can't wait 4 the version featuring chipmunk...
:w00t: Gotta listen to it when the show's finished. :D

Heard this on Switch. Love it, think I still prefer the self-titled song that got entered to BJSC.

Chipmunk pretty much ruins any credibility this song would've had.

Also, when Chipmunk does this:

Does it remind anyone else of when women do this:

Is he trying to tell us something?

I hate to be mean to the poor lass, but everytime I see her face she just reminds of a human version of Miss Piggy
I dont mind this actually! A watered down version of Ke$ha mixed with Pixie Lott...
Her self titled track was so promising, the demo as well and then the final version of this is just so ew and chav. Why on earth is she heading in this direction, if she had someone like KiD CuDi or Dizzee Rascal on instead it would have been great but now she's lost me and probably most of the Indie kids who had high expectations of her around the middle of last year. Marina and Ellie will walk all over her this year, she's just the Mz Bratt (who is miles better) of this year IMO but whatever.
Considering how successful acts like Chipmunk, Tinchy Stryder, N-Dubz and the like have been this past year, I wouldn't say its a poor choice commercially to get one of them on her record. The song however is very Katy Perry/Kelly Clarkson/Pink-esque. Nothing special.

I think she looks like a cross between Hannah of Hollyoaks and Roxy of Eastenders

Oh my LORD this song is terrible (imo of course). Her voice annoys me so much!

Not even Chipmunk can make it bearable for me...I just hope she isn't successful like Pixie.

It's bad enough having one on the UK music scene, let alone two!
