I'm really glad that dog days are over is doing so well on itunes :) It hasb't even peaked in the top 40 yet so hopefully it can maybe get into the top 20 next week, although top ten would be better. Why the surge though?

I've actually just heard Fireflies and it's a really mellow track. It's probably the first song in ages that i like which has had such a huge buzz around this forum :wub:

Alexandra's single has been around on downloads for some time now, its physicals is not going to make much difference to be honest, I can see her peaking at #2 or #3.

 

Plus if this weather continues, people are not going to venture out just to buy a single.

I'm not really thinking about the physicals though. More the promo. GMTV will give it a minor boost i think and SYTYCD should make it rise rapidly. SYTYCD appeals to the younger demographic - as does Broken Heels and it had over 8 million viewers last week so i think a number one is still possible.

I think most physicals are bought online anyway when it is not a big x factor or charity single.

 

I don't get the hype about Owl City to me the track is extremely dull.

 

It is bizzare that Florence is getting all this attention now when these songs have been everywhere for months.

It's on Radio 2's A list, so it's getting airplay. Sounds great on the radio -- much better than the Jay-Z arrangement. I expect a big rise on the Airplay Chart.

Owl City is terrible. Talk about ripping off and making HORRENDOUS songs a la Fireflies.

I don't understand why Empire State Of Mind Part II is receiving airplay? Is Alicia's ESOM meant to be the friendlier version (for those who can't take the Jay-Z version)? :unsure:
