I expected a much bigger fall than 8 places for take thats live album, hopefully over the next few weeks it will hit the half million sales mark, great that the circus is still top 40 for them.

Huge congrats to florence and the machine finally getting to number 1in the album chart, and looks like we will see a glee invasion now for a few weeks to come.

The best top 2 in ages as far as album chart is concerned, one of the worst Top 2's in singles though... Iyaz is tacky while Owl City may not be a bad song yet definitely overrated.

The best since last week... :P

Whoaaa, good charting for Esmee, considering Admit It was a flop... Soooo happy Florence has finally bagged number one!

Is Leona's Echo seen as a flop?

Kind of... there is still time though.

I wouldn't say it has exceed (not even met) expectations from any point of view... so keep your fingers crossed for the next singles.

There has been a huge debate here on that... but in the light of the last weeks I think most people would agree on this opinion now.

Is Leona's Echo seen as a flop?

Only by people who have too high expectations for her. 573k off the back of a single which didn't do amazingly is fantastic. She'll easily get over 1.5k in the UK alone by the end of the era I'm sure.

Is Leona's Echo seen as a flop?

I wouldn't call it much of a flop, when its on the back of a huge selling album, Duffy is going to have the same problem when she releases her follow-up album later this year.

It would have been interesting to compare how well wordshaker would have done if girls aloud had released an album last year too. I thought the saturdays would explode this year because of basically zero competition, but maybe they suffered from having no girl band fever because of so few girl bands releasing albums at the same time.

Regardless, terrible chart run for them, should have done so much better.

Is Leona's Echo seen as a flop?

Its dissappointing when you compare to previous sales but i think a flop is a bit extreme, plenty of money will have been made on the back of it so it can't really be called a flop.

no1gagafans sig is stretching my page :(

Leona still has very good sales considering she's only released one single, much better sales than most other artists in that position. It's obviously always going to be compared to her debut though :P

Gutted for Esmee, its a really nice album and deserves higher than 48.

although considering the flopping of Admit It, it's done better than I thought it would :)

Amy Winehouse wil be in the same boat. That is, if she releases this year

Any total sales for Alex B Bad boys and Broken Heels

Edited by BrayFish

76-100 rundowns.

SINGLES

  • Justin Bieber is up to #76 with Love Me, and has a new entry at #78 with One Less Lonely Girl. :puke:
  • With 'Halo' re-entering at #86, Video Phone down to #82, Single Ladies down to #85 and Sweet Dreams hanging on at #96 we've got 4 singles from I Am... Sasha Fierce (by Beyoncé) in the top 100 but none in the top 75.
  • The Temper Trap - Fader and Delphic - Doubt, both of which cruelly missed top 75 last week, both hang on in the top 100 for a second week.
  • Use Somebody by Kings Of Leon looks like it might be on its way out of the top 100 again, but it's still there at #98 this week.
  • Paolo Nutini just scrapes in a fourth top 100 entry from Sunny Side Up, with 10/10 entering at #100. Not bad considering it had no video, just (fairly high) airplay.

ALBUMS

  • Muse's Black Holes & Revelations climbs this week to #77 - I've no idea why, if anyone can enlighten me I'd be appreciative :P
  • ABBA's Gold GH is just one week away from the 450 mark.
  • Shock Value II climbs another place for Timbaland to #92 - I'm surprised it's still top 100 as well.
  • Thanks presumably to Celebrity Big Brother, Basshunter returns at #96 with his epic flop follow-up Bass Generation.
  • Also re-entering at #98 are Coldplay with Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends.
  • And we have another long-belated new entry from another Journey GH album, this one just titles 'Greatest Hits'. It's #99.
