Taylro Swift will never have another hit.

She's a one hit wonder.

YBWM doesn't count - even though it's her best song and worthy of a top 30 position, she only made #30 with it because of teh VMAs controversy with Kanye West.

WOW The chart show play has helped BedRock *awaits a reply from Aly* :heehee: (Only kidding :P)

Glad to see it doing well though. Surprisingly good song tbh.

Maybe in the UK, but she's huge in America.

lol this is the most ill informed post i've read in a while.

Don't forget that Taylor hasn't had much of a chance to do well with her other songs. I'm sure if they got heavy air/video play and she actually did some promotion (and the song was decent), then there is no reason for it to flop/bomb.

Indeed, America seem to have an obsession with squeeky clean pop teens, [Taylor] and the extremely dirty teens. [Ke$ha] Infact, Ke$ha looks like Taylor Swift, but gone bad!

Ill informed maybe, but correct definitely :P

Helping Haiti has gone up a lot. 5 times Owl city.

Still not at the level of RATM did on downloads at Xmas, but with physicals it seems likely it will.

Taylor Swift just isn't the sort of artist that would consistently do well in the UK - she's like a country version of Alicia Keys. America loves the whole country vibe but, unfortunately, the UK doesn't.

Imo she hasn't released the best songs. Love Story definitely should have been released - evidently so by the sales/chart position. But White Horse should have been released instead of Teardrops On My Guitar. WH already peaked at #50 off the back of the album but was never released here therefore didn't have the chance to do well :(

You Belong With Me was a decent single choice but the lack of promo didn't help. As Bray said, the VMAs are credited for YBWM's peak.

Off topic but i hope she wins the International Breakthrough Act at the BRITs :w00t:

Come ON Erik! I've been hyping Hurtful for so long, this is such a shame :(

no way, taylor is still fine tuning how to break other markets. lets not forget she isn't on a major label, so she has to do all the backing herself, not easy when you cant buy your way into the charts.

a documentary, got some 7m viewers though.

Not sure when the actual video will be out

Oh.. I thought the one shown on ITV1 was the video ?

Oh.. I thought the one shown on ITV1 was the video ?

Nope, from the Guardian:

The making of the Helping Haiti single Everybody Hurts and footage of the earthquake that devastated the country last month drew 7.3 million viewers on ITV1 last night, Sunday 7 February.

A late addition to the ITV1 schedule, the five-minute documentary was screened at 8.30pm and drew a 26% audience share, according to unofficial overnights.

This makes me mad. Hurtful is a good song that purely deserves to be no.1 over what the charts are ATM and it happens to flop when rubbish doing well. <_<

Wow huge lead for Haiti Single! That's good :).

2nd part is true but there is nothing stopping a future album spawning hits for Her here (this Song is from a soundtrack/not promoted). :)

YBWM was released far to late, it should've been released after Love Story before the album sold too much. :(

The album sold a lot bettr than I though it would.
It better have :smoke:
