It also states: "Shops such as M&S, Argos, BP Extra and BHS are also stocking the track and their sales are yet to be collated." I'm not sure how they can collate them, but hey-ho.
February 10, 201016 yr This is what i don't understand. Why should Leona have to write something different. I'm a lyricist and have written over around a thousand songs and 90% of them are ballads. It's just what you are comfortable with and if Leona finds it easier to reflect the inspiration and her emotions by writing a ballad then so be it. She shouldn't have to be told what to write. She should do what comes naturally. Writing a ballad is far harder anyway. With up-tempos, you have lot's of music as a support and therefore aren't pressured into writing great lyrics. With ballads however, the flaws in the writing can easily show because the audience will most likely remember the lyrics. Ballads need to show depth and convey emotion, which Leona does to an unbelievably incredible extent. Stop gloryfing her as a songwriter. The point is she's got a fantastic voice but isn't flexible enough, because she sticks to ballads most of the time. Madonna, who has a mediocre voice, but is a fantastic songwriter, who wrote many classic songs.

It's weird how people have a go at Leona for "always singing ballads" but it's not like Alicia sings anything different. All i say is artists should sing and write what they are comfortable with and what they want to do.

February 10, 201016 yr nice to see rihanna at 16 in the mids. shame the album seems stuck around the 30 mark, still selling 6 - 8k a week is nothing too worry about.

There is speculation that the I Got You video will be out today, premiering on the official website. The Rude Boy video is due to premiere tomorrow.

February 10, 201016 yr I did think Andre Rieu would get #1 this week due to Valentine's Day. I can imagine the album chart looking a lot different by Sunday because of that. How inpersonal is buying a CD for your other half though? Especially one of the vile ones floating around atm. Then again the whole day is a load of crap :heehee: Here's hoping Ke$ha can stay top 10. ^_^
