February 9, 201016 yr Author Could Glee Cast have 3 songs in the top 10 next Sunday No, and I hope bloody not, I'm so fed up with all the Glee tracks. -_-
February 9, 201016 yr Author Have you actually listened to the latest ones Mikey? :kink: No I haven't and I'm not planning to -_-
February 9, 201016 yr Thanks Six for the forum update-It really bugs me when people say that but really who sounds similar to Leona.I am not a Leona fan but her voice is unique on every level.Very few singers can match the quality of her voice. Agree completely. I think Leona has actually held back on the belting for her pop/rock vibe. If people had seen her on The X Factor back in 2006, her vocals were something else. So raw but still world-class and incredible in EVERY way. Summertime, All By Myself and Somewhere Over The Rainbow were effortless and flawless. We are lucky to have the Leona Lewis.
February 9, 201016 yr H/WOS will probbers make the top ten... Jedward are #9 yes? I think BBB and H/WOS will overtake that. IML/CPII will be top 15 I guess.
February 9, 201016 yr Could Glee Cast have 3 songs in the top 10 next Sunday Pretty sure that the answer to that is yes. Edited February 9, 201016 yr by Ricky
February 9, 201016 yr Well rather than complaining about the single why not list where and how you have given money. It is inappropriate to condemn the song when you know how desperate the situation is.You can always guarantee there will be stan wars on buzzjack it makes me miss ilikejlsmorethatilikemyself or whatever her name was.I wish people in this country had more pride in homegrown talent and what they achieve. It seems the English way is to want UK acts to fail while placing anything American on a pedastal.Get ready to buy earplugs around May Jedward will be releasing thier first album. Since Haiti happened I have given money to charity buckets wherever I see them. Its only small change at a time, as I am a student and not particularly rich, and I think I've more than given the 3.99 the single is asking for. I am proud of Britain's homegrown talent, but the single is rubbish and I will acknowledge that, and not buy it despite it being for charity. There are several other Haiti records out that are actually better than this. And it isn't even all the homegrown talent we have either. I know how desperate the situation is, as does everyone else but I don't think I'm on a one way ticket to Hell for disliking a dreary rushed piece of music, and instead trying to give without having to receive something in return. If you like the record, fine, but DO NOT assume others don't care and don't give to the Haiti appeal because they think the song is drivel.
February 9, 201016 yr How did this turn into a Leona/Will debate?! anyway, I think Will is the ultimate winner of the talent show despite being very unexpected he has lasted seven years which few would have expected Only time will tell if Leona can surpass Will in terms of success, but she needs to start writing her own songs and release something different for a change, her problem is her songs sound very similar (She should have released Outta my head) Anyway, really happy for the Haiti song- Not a big fan musically, but its all for a good cause Edited February 9, 201016 yr by chart wizard
February 9, 201016 yr Leona doesn't have to write her own songs to be great. She just needs better ones given to her. Apart from Better in Time and Forgive Me I find her material to be tedious and a waste of a great voice. It's a safe option giving her big ballads but if that is all someone with a great voice can give us then I'm not at all interested.
February 10, 201016 yr No I haven't and I'm not planning to -_- I may send one of them to BJSC. :kink:

And she has a style which suits her as an artist, which she has grown into and developed between albums. Just look at some of the photos that have been taken off her at the moment and compare it to her Bleeding Love days, and you can tell how much she has developed her image and grown in confidence. Anyway back on topic, at first I thought Halo / WOS would be the only new Glee song to crack the Top 10, but it's looking more likely now that It's My Life / Confessions, Pt. II will also join it. Jedward and Ke$ha will most likely be out of the Top 10 in tomorrows midweeks. I hope the Haiti single continues to sell well, the single has grown on me, and the more money raised the better. February 10, 201016 yr but she needs to start writing her own songs She wrote two entire albums, by herself, before The X Factor. Her writing skills should not be brought into question.
February 10, 201016 yr She wrote two entire albums, by herself, before The X Factor. Her writing skills should not be brought into question. Where did they chart? By the way ... I'm not having a dig at Leona. I actually quite like her now ... I admire her principles and her voice is immaculate ... I do wish she'd leave off using the word 'amazing' every time she's interviewed mind ... but that is a pedantic quibble. What I mean by my comment is that just because you write a couple of albums ... it doesn't necessarily mean that those albums are any good. Vocally she is a talented young lady ... but no way on earth would she have the success she now has without the X Factor. In her case ... the ends justified the means ... maybe she was just too shy and not enough of a go-getter to get there on her own. Norma Edited February 10, 201016 yr by Norma_Snockers

Where did they chart? What I mean by my comment is that just because you write a couple of albums ... it doesn't necessarily mean that those albums are any good. So you are judging the quality of writing on those (unreleased) albums by public response and popularity? Oh dear. You have a lot of faith in the GBP  Just look at the number one a few weeks ago (Iyaz) and then it proves the general public don't give a fudge about the lyrics. February 10, 201016 yr Surely if you're judging the ultimate talent show winner by who's had the most success/unexpected success and longevity then it should be Girls Aloud. How? Will's overall sales are higher & he's been around longer, though I agree Girls Aloud like Will are proving to have longevity.
February 10, 201016 yr So you are judging the quality of writing on those (unreleased) albums by public response and popularity? Oh dear. You have a lot of faith in the GBP  Just look at the number one a few weeks ago (Iyaz) and then it proves the general public don't give a fudge about the lyrics. I don't mean that at all ... I appreciate that there are albums that are of great quality and don't make it in the charts. The son of a really good friend of mine has written a good album of songs ... just put it on cd's for friends, etc ... and that will probably never be picked up by a record label ... but some of it is easily as good as most of the top 40 at the moment. But the poster of the original comment was assuming that just because Leona had written two albums on her own ... that that alone was testament to her song-writing talents. It isn't. I mean ... I've written a book ... for my own pleasure (mainly diaries with funny anecdotes, etc) it doesn't make me Charles Dickens. Norma
