March 28, 201015 yr Author 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina', by Julie Covington, has definitely sold over a UK Million now. It was on 993,000 7 inch Vinyl Sales. With Downloads added in, it has sold over the Million. She joins Alexandra Burke, as the only 2 British Women to have UK Million Selling Singles. However - how many has 'Bleeding Love', by Leona Lewis sold - so far, in the UK? What about 'A Moment Like This', also by Leona? Surely Julie Covington would have sold the 7000 copies it needed before Alexandra Burke reached the million??
March 28, 201015 yr Surely Julie Covington would have sold the 7000 copies it needed before Alexandra Burke reached the million?? not according to music week- all sales from original run. is it even available digitally yet?
March 28, 201015 yr Surely Julie Covington would have sold the 7000 copies it needed before Alexandra Burke reached the million?? That's what I've been thinking ever since the OCC said Alexandra Burke was the first UK female solo artist to sell a million.
March 28, 201015 yr not according to music week- all sales from original run. is it even available digitally yet? Yes it is and it's been available for a good few years.
March 28, 201015 yr Author Yes it is and it's been available for a good few years. Yeah I've bought it off iTunes, part of an Andrew Lloyd Webber compilation!
May 13, 201015 yr Author I'm fairly sure MW confirmed that 'Angels' has passed 1mill Yup, Angels has definitely passed the million :) I think that Aerosmith could possibly eventually make it too with I Don't Want to Miss A Thing. Seems to be eternally within the iTunes chart! Although not really sure of its current sales :S
May 15, 201015 yr I know that 'Dancing Queen', has now sold over a Million UK copies. It sold 935,000 in 1976 + 1992, & has now had 99,000 UK Downloads added in. It is on 1,034,000 Sales. (Some say 1,039,000 - saying it sold 940,000 before the 99,000 Downloads were added). 'Sugar Sugar', by The Archies, has also now sold a UK Million. It sold about 979,000 between 1969 & 1970, & it sold enough on Downloads to reach 1 Million UK Sales this Year - 2010. It did it a few Months ago. The OCC will reveal the up-dated UK Million Sellers before too long.
