Hope she can take him to get top 10 by Sunday

This is brilliant for Mary J Blige :wub: Was really expecting this to bomb horrifically but seeing it nearly top 20 on I-Tunes is great. Not one of Mary's best's admittetly but still great to see her get a hit.

It's possible that Rock That Body and Telephone could both get number ones. BEPs and Lady Gaga are known to have their tracks hang around at the top of the charts for ages (infact, Boom Boom Pow, Bad Romance and I Gotta Feeling were all number one twice).

 

But knowing our luck, we'll have some random person come out of nowhere and get he number one in that week. :D

yeah the video effect again, I saw it on 5 different mtv channels at the weekend at the same time lol

I don't think RTB or Telephone will be #1s personally. They'll both do well though. I just think 'Telephone' has been around for so long already with little impact, the least the video can do is ensure it makes the top 10.

 

Then again looking at the release schedule it only gets worse so maybe something awful will sneak in [though I doubt anything could be worse than what's currenty at #1 :(].

What are the sales of The Fame Monster and Telephone to date?

 

I think that might severely hamper its chances of a #1. Will definitely be top 10 without question, and I hope it gets to #1 - its probably my 2nd favourite GaGa track after Poker Face (close run for 2nd place with BR/T).

Don't underestimate the power of Gaga.

 

I think she is brilliant and I do like the song. It's just not #1 material imo and is nothing compared to JD, PF, Papo and BR. But then again, like I said, if Tinie whatever the frick he's called can get to #1 who knows? :P

Yeah, Videophone is not a very good song at all IMO.

 

As for Gaga, I really don't like/get LoveGame, so I'd have to rank that the worst of her singles. The rest:-

1. PokerFace - Stunning :wub:
2. Telephone - Ingenious
3. Bad Romance - Infectiously catchy, used to think this was meh but love it now
4. Just Dance - great single, just behind the top 3
5. Paparazzi - love the chorus, but really don't like the verses
6. Love Game - poor

I was thinking, "Rude Boy" was much higher without a video than "Telephone" is? But Rihanna's album had sold less I guess...

 

Anyway, it's bound to shoot up in the chart next week. Jonathan Ross interview/performance of it on Friday, followed by the video on Monday.

That's true. I won't say I love Telephone. But it's a grower. It has two of three biggest female artists right now. I expect it to reach #1 at some stage. I'm sure. :D

'Telephone' has been in the iTunes top 40 since November last year so has already had a lot of sales

Beyonce and Lady Gaga are the two biggest females in music worldwide right now. (Both from US which helps)

But together, its a no no.
