I prefer the Tom Robinson Band version

Meg Baird 'Do What You Gotta Do'

Annie Lennox 'Shining Light'

Tori Amos 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'

Mark Ronson & Amy Winehouse 'Valerie'

Bobby Womack 'California Dreamin' (although the original is also great)

Jose Gonzalez 'Hand On Your Heart'

Saint Saviour 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' (again, original fab too)

Ane Brun 'Big In Japan'

Ryan Adams 'Wonderwall'

Aimee Mann 'The Scientist'

Now you're making me feel very old

Sorry :( I did only discover the song within the last 18months.

I shamefully own that 'ABBA Mania' on CD! HAHA. One of the first ever albums I recieved  I was absoloutely, madly in love with Steps' version of 'Lay All Your Love On Me'. Didn't like any of the other covers much though

I LOVE the B*Witched version of Does Your Mother Know

Ah yesss! I actually liked that more than the Steps track, I just forgot about it :( [/flop-fan]

what is the point of Glee ??? why dont they just produce compilations of the "originals" and we dont have to suffer the awful singers

put it this way The old TOTP LP's sound better than anything Glee have ever done

I second that Mushy!

Saying the Leona Lewis version is better than Snow Patrol's is an insult! Run by SNOW PATROL is one of my fav song ever. Leona just really messes it up with her screeching.

Anyway as for covers...

Muse - Feeling good

Will think of more later

Didn't Snow Patrol even say that they thought Leona's version was better?

Slash feat. Fergie (from BEP) & Cypress Hill - Paradise City

I think it's really good. Although I don't find it better than the original i know a couple of people who think it is.

good idea pete, glee is turning retro tracks into a karaoke commodity which is kinda ruining there retro image.

not bothered, it doesnt make it a fact, i hate ott vocal gymnastics, i hate wailing bints, leona fits this description!

torn by natalie imbruglia
Rachel Stevens - More More More
Leona Lewis' version of Run is about as good as her cover of Stop Crying Your Heart Out i.e. crud.
