March 31, 201015 yr Golden Filter would be a FANTASTIC winner, but I don't dare predict such a shock. I already thought I was sticking my neck out a lot predicting it top five :o
March 31, 201015 yr The golden Filter is really what Goldfrapp should have comeback with. (As much as I love 'Rocket') 'Hide Me' would be a fantastic winner imo.
March 31, 201015 yr I'm not going to do the full predicta (I might later) But I think Kopecka could be getting they're second win..

Personally, I'd be rather surprised by that, as it has got underwhelming reviews for new Sia material like Xtina Ag's new single that was much hyped before it was heard.

Sia is very Robyn like in many ways - appealing to both pop and indie audiences in equal measure, except that she's never really had any huge commercial success apart from the top ten hit Taken For Granted way back in 2000, which was far from her best song anyway in my opinion. Clap Your Hands is a lot more pop and catchy than a lot her other stuff which makes me wonder if she's trying to be more commercial this era to finally make a proper name for herself? But like Beverley Knight I think she's one of those singers who sells consistently, has a cult fanbase, but never really scores that huge hit. That said, she provides vocals on two of my favourite songs of all time - Destiny and Somersault by Zero 7, she has a gorgeous and very distinct voice. Clap Your Hands may not be critically lauded but I doubt Dolly Rockers, Eva Simons, Anna Abreu and the like would have had critics queuing up to praise them yet it did them no harm in BJSC.
March 31, 201015 yr I should have sent Golden Filter lawlz. ): I've been raving about them forever now, ever since Solid Gold was the only song to their name. But I'm glad Jester finally did what I never did and sent them. <3 It'd be a great winner. Though Thunderbird / Solid Gold > Hide Me imo.

March 31, 201015 yr I think there's definitely alot of room in this contest for the winner to be someone we never thought of........or at the very least it's a very wide contest.....nothing really screams absolute winner to me.... Or maybe that's just me fantasizing of another Uh huh her contest :P Edited March 31, 201015 yr by Sabrewulf

I think Hide Me is better than Thunderbird and Solid Gold though :P If I ever won this, I really would faint
March 31, 201015 yr And I would co-host :kink: Anyway, I swear to god I nearly sent the Sia song last month, and Tyron told me it was sort-of OK?
March 31, 201015 yr Tyron's just about as bad as i am for changing his mind on entries and tracks
April 1, 201015 yr Was 'Clap Your Hands' even leaked by then? I thought it was only leaked about 2 weeks ago as part of a sampler?
April 1, 201015 yr You could be right, but it was definitely a Sia track from the new album... Will have to check my old thread...
April 1, 201015 yr You did? :o  I just checked your old thread and there wasn't a mention of Sia for either XXIV or XXV...
April 1, 201015 yr I looked, and couldn't find it either. Then I realised it was in the XXIV Green Room thread. Cba to check it tho.
April 1, 201015 yr I LOVE WHAT THE BANLIST HAS DONE TO THIS CONTEST <3 Yet even despite how much more exciting and unpredictable it's made the contest, still there is a HELL of a lot of hostility to it to the point where I was thinking it might as well be scrapped again. But I genuinely believe that it's done the contest more good than harm. I honestly don't see what anyone would have gained by sending any of the tracks on it this month.
