Unforunately, I think Diana may lose the #1 by 2K-5K. :(

I doubt it...

1. She had a huge lead on iT for a while.

2. As a former XF contestant, she's likely to have had significant physical sales, obviously not reflected here.

Not to mention the fantastic tracklist the CD single had. 3 brand new b-sides plus a poster, it's what swayed me (and I'm sure some others) to buy it anyway. It's like how I used to decide whether I wanted somebody's album or not, I'd buy the single and guage my interest from the b-sides - if a single had stunning b-sides I knew that the album had to be something special and would buy it. If the b-sides were awful, I'd wait until the second single of the project to reconsider buying the album.

Really suprised at Ushers lead now :o Never expected the song to get in the top 5 when it was released let alone number 1 possibly for 2 weeks or more

Not too fussed who gets to number 1 now but I think Diana will probably still get it

Just bought it! :cheer:

Fingers crossed Diana can still grab the #1! I wonder how far she was ahead sales wise before OMG overtook.

Are you from the Netherlands or did you just wanna buy it before it came out in the UK? :D

FYI Celtic fans were originally downloading YNWA to stop us (Rangers fans) from getting "The Best" to No1, when they realised that wasn't working they all switched to downloading Usher as he was ahead of us.

What that is so childish its about time the official chart company ban these campaigns

I don't think they should. After all, the charts reflect what people buy. You can't just stop a song from charting because it is centre of a campaign.

Every music release in history has been a campaign... what makes Facebook campaigns any different? They help to boost music sales.

I think Lady A could shock a few people. It'll do a "'Battlefield'" imo. But I'm still certain Roll Deep will hit the number 1.
For real?

Yes, their goal was to beat us in the charts but when it became clear that wouldn't happen they changed tactics to ensure we wouldn't reach No1. Funnily enough I realised after coming here that was unlikely so was hoping just to get as high as possible, ssssh don't tell the Celtic fans though and let them spend their money :)

I don't want to get into a big them and us debate on a music forum but I will repeat what I've already posted on here. The Rangers campaign was set up to raise the profile of Erskine Hospital for ex-servicemen & women, when it became clear Rangers could win the league this week the people behind the campaign exploited this to get the Rangers fans to download "The Best". The song is the unofficial anthem of Rangers and was adopted by Erskine Hospital for their recent fundraising appeal.

The Celtic fans was purely in response to this and was designed to stop us from achieving No1, although they inadvertently gave the Rangers fans campaign more publicity!

It's was for a good cause!
