The songs get released to UK iTunes on the Monday the episode airs. At 0.01 or whatever daft number it is  Same time as albums get added.

Ahh my bad, I thought it was the Sunday night (which I suppose it is... but...) Never mind

It seems that even pre-orders suffer from "The Weekend Effect"

Hope Diana's physicals can make the difference...

Who's gonna be number 1 tomorrow? I think it's 50% between Diana & Usher now. It will be very close.

Fingers crossed for Diana. :(

I'm still completely sure diana will be number 1 this week, for 3 reasons:

1 - new releases every weekend tend to slip (the weekend effect) as chipmunk is also slipping, this is just an early weekend effect in my eyes.

2 - her physicals will have heavy sales, as there are 3 extra tracks that aren't included on itunes.

3 - she was way ahead of usher and chipmunk from tuesday-thursday, usher can't shorten the space that much with an itunes lead.

keep telling yourself that

keep telling yourself that

what exactly is that supposed to mean? I'm not 'telling myself', it's true.

Its saturday night and lead growing, i think he could catch up, but diana should still just scrap #1 i think.

Just pulling your leg. She was 10k in front a few days ago, shes had it in the bag since then.

Was Leona Lewis number 1 all week, the week she got beat by the Black Eyed Peas or did they overtake last minute- I remember BEPs were always very close behind her (I believe only a 6k lead on the first day)

Im still quite worried for Diana :(

Here's the daily chart runs for the songs that week:

Meet Me Halfway - 4 - X Factor - 4 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 1 - 1 - 1 - CHART #1

Happy - 49 - X Factor - 9 - 2 - 1 - 1 - 2 - 2 - 2 - CHART #2

Infact, on the whole, Happy did very poorly compared to Meet Me Halfway. Meet Me Halfway was in the top 10 for an eternity. Put it this way. It was in the iTunes top 10 at the same time as Break Your Heart and Replay. They replaced Haven't Met You Yet in the top 10, and got replaed by Broken Heels, almost 4 months later. Happy, on the other hand, was gone quite quickly, so on that basis, I think Meet Me Halfway deserved to be number-one.

I looked up the chart with Leona/BEPs:

the sales gaps for the mids were:

Tuesday- Leona: 36k BEPs: 30k

Wednesday- Leona: 49k BEPs: 43k

Thursday- Leona: 59k BEPs: 56k

Friday- BEPs overtook

BEPs were always close so this is quite a good sign for us fans as Diana has had a comfortable lead throughout the week- hopefully, she can hold on

still keeping my fingers crossed though

I still wouldnt be too hopeful just incase it doesnt happen, avoid disapointment..#2 still good, but i'm sure the label and diana would be gutted as its her debut song and the radio/tv have supported it heavily...she should still hit #1 anyway diana fans !
They know way before 2pm. They learn their fate in the morning.
Expect 'I Gotta Feeling, 'Low', 'If I Were A Boy', 'Poker Face', 'Bad Romance' and 'Rule The World' to rise after Britain's Got Talent!

and Halo/Walking On Sunshine!

Rule The World always sounds stunning as a soundbed, I forget what a grand and sensational piece of music it is, easily one of the greatest pop songs of all time, despite all of the radio overplay :drama:
