The two single covers for this era have been amazing so far, which could be what's making me disappointed with the album cover

After three listens, THIS IS AMAZING. But it's nowhere near the godly heights 'California Gurls' set.

I'm on my first listen and this is WAY better than 'California Girls'. Less generic, way punchier and with a lot more spunk.

 

Not that I have anything against 'California Gurls'.

Yeah, she does seem to be in her element. I really hope the album itself actually shows the potential she has this time, I have faith.

I've listened to it twice and already I love it, it's so much better than the rubbishy California Gurls.

Amazing. :wub: Katy very rarely disappoints. It's not her fault 'California Gurls' got old quick, but 'Teenage Dreams' sounds like it's gonna be huge and a grower too! GAH! I love her :wub:

I'm already in love with it!! It's the only song I've been listening to since last night, it's just BRILLIANT!! Hopefully another #1 for her. :wub:

 

Oh and the single cover is just stunning, better than the cover for 'California Gurls' imo, but looking at the two single covers makes me disappointed with the album cover.

On first listen it's like the biggest disappointement of the year for me :o

 

I love 'California gurls' so so much so I was expecting something even bigger for 2nd single, and WTF ? :o The chorus passed me by and I didn't even realise it was the chorus ... Not good :( Hopefully it will grow on me big time, no way there's a Katy single I don't love !

I am obsessed now :wub: It won't go number 1 tho as I think the release is 23rd Aug, so it's against the certain number 1 Dynamite by Taio Cruz :( Dynamite is amazing and I also hope that goes number 1 so they could remove the release back a week, as the 16th is basically dead. Rihanna is the only major release that week and she won't even go top 10 so Katy could get another number 1 if handled right!

Well overrated here. It's nothing special imo. I did grow to love California Gurls, we'll see in a few weeks, but for now, its just a boring song.
