Frisky has go number 1  I have a terrible feeling James and Dizzee will stop it though :( The only other major releases are Pixie Lott and Ke$ha, which have been around for a while anyway as album tracks

I hope Tinie can beat Dizzee but realistically it's not gonna happen - there's just too many factors which will help Dizzee. There's a very small chance both of the top 2 next week could sell over 100k as nearly happened with Iyaz and Sidney in January.

Aside from Tinie and Dizzcord, the only 'major' new release next week in that it's not yet available and could go top 40 is another UK rapper, Giggs - Look What The Cat Dragged In. I just love that title. It should do well just for the title. It's a decent song too (IMO). BJ will hate it though :P

There's also full releases for Ke$ha, Pixie, Mumford & Sons and Delphic. The latter two won't do much, the former two are already fairly high as album tracks.

And then there's the new Rox song - 'My Baby Left Me' made #91, so there's no reason to think I Don't Believe will be a total flop. It probably will be though.

I didn't know Iyaz and Sidney sold that much in their first week! :o

Woah! The wrong song clearly went to #1 though haha.

Really pleased Eminem is doing so well after Jonathan Ross. Wasn't 'Not Afraid' down to #12 yesterday?! I guess the video may have helped too, hopefully it'll help even more once it's being played on music channels. His best song in a LONG while.

EDIT: Also, as for this chart battle next week, I REALLY hope Tinie somehow gets to #1. 'Frisky' is a thousand times better than 'Pass Out'. Love it. Seeing him tonight too!

Yeah, Iyaz sold ~106k and Sidney ~97k IIRC

I don't think the wrong song got to #1, Sidney's only been ahead of Iyaz in the chart twice, and Replay is still #92 in the chart when Sidney dropped out a couple weeks ago. Then again, Riverside didn't have help from hype sales from a follow-up single. I'm aware that sentence made no sense.

"lesser of two evils"

very nice phrase

This Dizzee & Corden song hasn't been premiered yet so I really don't think it will stop Frisky which I think will be one of the biggest songs of the year, bigger than Pass Out. I know Dizcorden may have BGT behind it but I don't think its as unstoppable as you all think. Can still see Frisky getting number one.

Dizcorden may get number 1 on itunes like ' You Got The Dirtee Love ' but dont think it will get this weeks official #1.

Yeah, I'd like Tinie to go to #1 too. His style of music has grown on me a lot to be honest. When I first heard Pass Out, I found it literally sickening, but I began to 'get' it after my sisters played the song like 1,000 times.

And there were huge sales in the Replay/Riverside week, but the few months before that got some great sales too, with songs like Bad Boys, Fight For This Love, Meet Me Halfway, among others selling over 100,000 in a week.

Hmm, I wonder why Giggs is available already?

I think Don't Go There was released on the Saturday as well though.

LWtCDI is climbing fairly quickly, up to #186. Should go top 40 next week.

Really didn't register with me that they'd sold so much at the time!

Perhaps Iyaz did 'deserve' to be #1 if he's higher than Sidney still, but 'Riverside' seems like such an anthem for me. People still go wild when it's played out, when Iyaz is played, people don't seem to care. But then I guess if Iyaz sold more in the week, surely he DID deserve to be #1 after all!

Haha same. Really didn't get it at all to begin with, but when it's played out lliterally every night it sort of grows. As for the second part of your post, thats true too - maybe if they were released now they wouldn't have sold so much. I don't really think the time of year should affect sales but maybe it does?!

How has eminem climbed right back up again?

Ridin solo doing so well, nearly #2 again :) knew it was going to be huge, his biggest hit yet! & the last two were big!

Eminem has mainly reclimbed because he was on Jonathan Ross, but also the video has just premiered (it got to #5 with no video :o) and he was also in the Live Lounge yesterday.

We No Speak Americano :w00t: looking good for a top 10 entry next week. let's hope it keeps rising, this could be this year's summer anthem

Thanks Bray, glad to see climb back to #4, thats incredible.

We Made You wasnt the comeback single he had hoped for but not afraid is a different league song wise.

I also like the track BUT i think the label will delete it shortly as its selling off a compilation and its not suppose to be out until late July. If they do delete it and readd it on later on then it wouldnt surprise me if its becomes a summer dance #1

Eminem has performed the song on TV apparently.

And Ridin' Solo is huge. I'm not sure if it's bigger than Whatcha Say though, as that was also really popular. I think the fact that Ridin' Solo was all over the Internet ages before the album was released has actually been very beneficial to the single.

But oddly enough, it's In My Head that peaked the highest, but I never really hear anyone sing, play or talk about the song to be honest.

'Crack A Bottle' was his comeback single which also peaked at #4.

All I'd have gotten in those circumstances would have been a murder conviction... :w00t:
