Jelena's through again after overcoming the highly rated Canadian Alexandra Wozniack; 4-6, 6-2, 6-4

We're all behind her for her first Wimbledon QF appearance? Yes.

FINALLY SOMEONE WINS. What amazing players, got so much respect for them.

Stunning match, it is great that the officials awarded the umpire and the players a little memento of this extraordinary match.

Pleased with the winner, he's the cuter one IMO :)

But I wanted it to last until the end of this years Wimbledon :snif:

I was pleased to see Isner win too, I thought he had more personality and it seemed to be a greater struggle for him what with having so much body mass to haul around. Wonderfully entertaining match.

I too am glad Isner won.

Sensation match, out of the two i would say Isner showed greater strength and determination. It's not easy to throw 6foot+ of body about

Only to get thrashed in the next round. Not a great surprise though, he must have been exhausted after that marathon.

I wanted Mahut to win in the end as it seemed he had more to offer in the rest of the tournament.

It's been a very pleasing few days for me, Nadal struggling twice and Murray winning with ease.

Tomorrow has got some fantastic matches, especially in the womens.

Zvonareva makes it to her second grand slam quarter final (after Australia 09) with an impressive 3 sets win over Kim Clijsters, a player she's never beaten before - to set up a semi final clash with unseeded Tsvetana Pironkova, who took out World #2 and 5 times former champion, Venus Williams, meaning there are only 2 top 10 players left in the tournament - in the form of #9 Na Li and of course, World #1 and defending champion; Serena Williams who, with her two nearest rivals being dumped out, surely becomes the hot favourite to lift the Wimbledon title for the fourth time.

01. Serena Williams (Still competing)

02. Venus Williams (QF)

03. Caroline Wozniacki (4R)

04. Jelana Jankovic (4R)

05. Francessca Schiavone (1R)

06. Sam Stosur (1R)

07. Agneiska Radwanska (4R)

08. Kim Clijsters (QF)

09. Na Li (Still competing)

10. Flavia Penetta (3R)

:o Quite a poor show from the top 10 women, this year - I'm especially shocked to see Caroline Wozniacki out so early, she was stunning in the first three rounds - I really thought she had a shot at the semis.

Na Li out to Serena now - only 1 top 10 seed in the semis :o

what's happening with the men? i haven't been following that as much :P

I was shocked at 3 of the results today and I was hoping Na Li would beat Serena.

The men seeds are doing a lot better.

Federer 1 v Berdych 12

Djokovic 3 v Lu

Tsonga 10 v Murray 4

Soderling 6 v Nadal 2

I predict the semis to be

Federer v Djokovic

Murray v Soderling

Wow, the men's game has become much more predictable, like Davenport said, the two games have switched completely and there now seems to be more depth in the women's draws :o.

This is the second really exciting Grand Slam in a row for womens' tennis, good show ^_^.

I'm personally hoping to see Vera Zvonareva make the final and take down Serena in 3, it'd do wonders for her confidence :P

Great shame that Clijsters wasn't on her A-game today after her thrilling match against Justine yesterday. I was hoping she'd go the distance.
another massive shock for a world #2 in the quarter finals :o and Nadal is struggling.

What a tournament for Vera Zvonareva :o taking out Jankovic and Clijsters in the singles, with a huge shot at reaching the final and (along with Elena Vesnina [#42, iirc]) beating the Williams Sisters in the doubles :o

She's really got it together :P

Anyone else think Murray's opponent Tsonga looked like a cross between a young Muhammed Ali and Lloyd from Coronation Street?

Norma

Nadal will beat Murray in the semis.

Oh I do so hope so ... I love Nadal. But I have a feeling Murray will go all the way this time.
