Wyclef Jean’s Hips Don’t Lie since last week. The pair are, however, being threatened by Rogue Traders’ Voodoo Child (Ariola), which is rising from last week’s position of 18 to a potential top three placing, while the likely highest new entry will come from James Dean Bradfield’s That’s No Way To Tell A Lie, the Manic Street Preacher frotman’s debut solo effort, released on Columbia. Rihanna will debut just outside the Top 10 with Unfaithful (Def Jam), while Gnarls Barkley’s Smiley Faces (Warner Bros) is on course to make a significantly smaller splash at download level than its predecessor Crazy did back in April. Destined for a similarly disappointing showing this weekend is Shayne Ward’s whose Stand By Me (Syco Music) will struggle to make the Top 20 this weekend. Elsewhere in the chart, a raft of acts including Dirty Pretty Things (Vertigo), Milburn (Mercury), Nylon (Believer Music), Rooster (Brightside) and Richard Ashcroft (Parlophone) are all vying for Top 40 showing. In the albums market, Thom Yorke’s The Eraser is putting pressure on Muse for the top spot, after the Radiohead singer’s XL-released solo debut made an impressive start at retail yesterday. Guillemots’ Through the Windowpane (Polydor) is also likely to debut within the Top 20, while albums from Billy Joel (Columbia), Regina Spektor (Sire), Hans Zimmer’s new Pirates Of The Carribean OST (Walt Disney), and Sufjan Stevens (Rough Trade) are in contention for a Top 75 showing. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Singles Lily Allen - Smile [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJ_hfQ2h4kQ.swf 01 Lily Allen - Smile 02 Shakira feat.
