July 13, 200619 yr Any chance at all that Rogue Traders could make at least #2 by Sunday? They're amazing and deserve to be #1 really, I saw them live on Tuesday and it was fantastic. Lily Allen is a troll. I haven't even heard that Shayne Ward song yet, but I didn't expect him that low. Its pretty doubtful, the Top 2 songs have increased their lead over the Rogue Traders, im afraid.
July 13, 200619 yr Its pretty doubtful, the Top 2 songs have increased their lead over the Rogue Traders, im afraid. Urgh, stupid public. #3 is good all the same. :P
July 13, 200619 yr Author Urgh, stupid public. #3 is good all the same. :P Unfortunately the gap is too big between 2 and 3, RT, will have to settle for #3 and that's coming from a chart expert  :P
July 13, 200619 yr The music buying public REALLY make me sick sometimes. I can't believe they're giving this Lily Allen creature two weeks at #1 with her dreadful song. :(
July 13, 200619 yr The music buying public REALLY make me sick sometimes. I can't believe they're giving this Lily Allen creature two weeks at #1 with her dreadful song. :( I agree with you. It seems to me to be more about how controversial an artist is these days, rather than the actual quality and sound of the voice and the music.
July 13, 200619 yr but she may not be at number #1 on sunday, Shakira is closing up! I'm past caring about Shakira, I want Rogue Traders to do it! I suppose I could pray for a miracle to occur between now and Sunday.
July 13, 200619 yr I agree with you. It seems to me to be more about how controversial an artist is these days, rather than the actual quality and sound of the voice and the music. I agree on the whole But I actually think "Smile" deserves to be no.1 Sandi Thom / James Blunt etc are all dull But on this song, her voice sounds really good, it's a good song
July 13, 200619 yr but she may not be at number #1 on sunday, Shakira is closing up! She's NOT, she was 600, now 1000, that's NOT closing -_-

July 14, 200619 yr shayne i think will make the top 10 as saturday is a big day with kiddies buying singles i would like to see james dean bradfield make the top 10 as its a great track There's no chance of that - rock/indie sales are always very front-loaded, so their highest position is early in the week, after which they invariably drift downwards.
July 15, 200619 yr It's obvious what's happened in the case of Shayne ward. The head honchos at his record label have seen the midweek position and given all their staff money to go out and buy more copies to get it to rise throughout the week. I see no other explaination for it.
July 15, 200619 yr I take it, Shayne Wards new single comes from his album, so if you already own the album, why buy the single?
