Posted June 20, 201015 yr So, Gabriella's releasing the rather weak 'Defender' as her third single from an album full of amazing choices. It's a shame, really, as I doubt it'll even break the top 200 in the UK. :( Anyway, for those who haven't heard it yet: 9OmX7Bjp8ZA Edited July 31, 201014 yr by Theo Commander
June 20, 201015 yr Whut? I'm not a massive fan of most of the album songs anyway - but, this really is one of the weakest single choices...
June 20, 201015 yr It's Sanctuary all over again in terms of picking an average filler track as a single and leaving great single worthy tracks (like Don't Want To Go To Bed Now/Got No Place To Go last time) on the album. She's the new Cascada in terms of misguided 2nd/3rd single choices clearly :(
June 20, 201015 yr although I think this is a nice little song, i think it's a weak single choice, she needs a huge hit to save this era.
June 20, 201015 yr It's a good enough song, but such a week single choice when there's Invisible Girl :( As Theo said, it's gonna flop sooo hard
June 20, 201015 yr woo  I'm glad that it's a single, although I'd have preferred 'what if you knew' or 'invisible girl' as they're more upbeat than 'defender' I think 'hearts don't lie' pretty much killed the era though, if I'm honest. -_- Edited June 20, 201015 yr by DougJames_
June 20, 201015 yr What If You Knew/Glue/Invisible Girl all would have been better choices I agree but this is such a beautiful song aswell that I wont complain that much. The era's dead anyway tbh and I dont think anything could save it.
June 20, 201015 yr Who on earth commissioned a third single?! Didn't 'Hearts Dont Lie' completely bomb? I feel bad for her, because her songs are quite good but she just doesn't have any star quality. When I saw her at Leona she had no sparks, made no attempts to talk to the audience and it was really quite embarrassing for her.
June 20, 201015 yr WHAT. THE. FUCK  I know nothing from the album is going to do at all well now, but what do they think they're doing all the same? Retarded doesn't even begin to cover it. woo  I'm glad that it's a single, although I'd have preferred 'what if you knew' or 'invisible girl' as they're more upbeat than 'defender' I think 'hearts don't lie' pretty much killed the era though, if I'm honest. -_- I don't agree at all, the era was killed when the album bombed so bad, nothing else would have done any better.
June 20, 201015 yr What's with the hate? 'Defender' is stunning. :( Although for slightly slower tempo songs, she should have gone for 'What If You Knew', but I'm happy. 'Defender' is one of my faves
June 20, 201015 yr I think the song is alright, but it is an undeniaby retarded choice for a single. Even if the era is dead beyond resurrection.
June 20, 201015 yr I really like this song. How did her last single do? Or do i not ask? I think you'd rather not know :( Here it is (spoilered for sheer tension :P): 134 :( That's serious!
June 20, 201015 yr very bad choice for a single . 'Hearts don't lie' was such a disco masterpiece in the same vein as Blondie's 'Heart of glass' yet it completely bombed. 'Ten' is one of the most underrated albums in history, she should've promoted 'Hearts don't lie' more, it could've been massive for her, 'Superhot' is screaming to be a single, also 'Love me cos' and 'Boys'. 'Defender' is by far the worst song on the album.
