I hope Kelly can over take SS in a while, but Glasto will boost them and it should help Kylie too as she is performing with them.

LOL at these 'get in the top 10 now!' comments- sound like a mother shouting at her child

I dont think Commander or Fire With Fire will get top 10, which is a real shame for the Scissor Sisters, as this was meant to be their big comeback, really disappointing :(

Poor K'Naan, Waving Flag will probably be this years In For The Kill- which also deserved number 1 :(

I'm only starting to realize how popular Not Afraid is! Infact, Eminem's album in general. I live by a busy road, and I've been sitting next to my open window, revising for the past 6 hours. Lots of people are playing load music in their cars driving by, and I've heard so many Eminem songs, it's shocking!

The most popular other songs have probably been Ridin' Solo, Stereo Love, Airplanes, We No Speak Americano, Alejandro, and oddly enough, I've heard Imma Be many times today! :o

I kind of knew Scissor Sisters would struggle with this, the buzz around it has almost been non-existant.

Yeah, I listen to the radio a fair bit, and the first time I actually heard it (or at least the first time I heard it, and registered it) was on Radio 1's mid-week chart show.

I think it's a decent top 10 at the moment. I love 6 of the songs, I like 3, and I hate 1.

Although a few weeks ago, there was a top 10 where I loved all the songs.

The thing about Scissor Sisters, is they used to be kings of the #11-20 peak. Even Take Your Mama got to #17. Only I Don't Feel Like Dancin' really changed that, and they didn't have another top 20 hit from the album. I'm not disappointed really, though I hope they are still #11 tomorrow. The album is guaranteed top 3, probably #1.

'Comfortably Numb' peaked at #10 and 'Filthy Gorgeous' peaked at #5.

Oh and 'Land of a Thousand Words' peaked at #19. :P

Well, alright. My point is they've had a ton of 11-20s. Anyway, I think it will scrape top 10 (on iTunes at least) after their amazing Glasto performance
They've got 3 top 10s (IDFLD #1, F/G #5 and CN #10) and 4 11-20s (TYM #17, Laura #12, Mary #14 and LOATW #19), that'll be 5 after this week. 8 top 20 hits isn't bad going ;o
Scissor Sisters are surely seen more as an album act as opposed to a singles act? Haven't both their albums sold over 1m here in the UK?

YAP, the first over 2 mil and the second over 1.2 mil... so I hope this will do at least 1 MIL, strong album and the reviews are great too.

I Gotta Feeling up to #47. :D

What's the lowest that I Gotta Feeling has been on iTunes, since it got #1? Has it dropped out of the top 75 yet?

Pretty certain it's dropped at least to the low 60s.

What's more interesting is that since the release of the album, it's only been out of the official top 75 once - the third week of availability, it was #79. It spent three weeks lingering around the top 80 from the album's release until it hit the top 40, and since then it has never gone lower than the #68 position it held in its second week of release.

It's only been out of the UK top 50 eight times since it first became available:

Y'all forget that two of the Scissors top 10 hits came in the worst year on record for single sales. Their #5 with a 5th release from their album sold like 9000 copies to do so and was their highest peaking track from that record

I've never seen them as much of a singles seller and as long as the album can sell modestly then they'll be fine. I'm expecting at least 300k in total considering they're bound to lose a chunk of sales from their last album and also due to the low sales market and long absence etc.
